I am excited to announce that I will be starting a new job on August 17, and I will be moving to Kansas City, MO for the position. I've got a sweet townhouse for $810/mth plus $30 in utilities!

Good for you, brother! Sounds like a great deal on the townhouse too. What's the job?

Honest question: Do you think it'd be best to keep your "furryness" on the down low? I imagine people's perception of that could cause you headaches.

Yeah, I'll certainly keep it concealed at work. Though, once I get my suit, I do plan to have a YouTube channel which I've been planning for for a while. Though yeah, definitely will keep it quiet at work.

Congratulations. As soon as the moving truck drives away go to Arthur Bryant's for BBQ. Then later that day go to Gates BBQ. Then the next morning go to Fiorellas for BBQ and if you're not full yet go to Q39 for...BBQ.

Hehe, Gates is good. I also like Smokehouse BBQ, and I look forward to going to Q39. Arthur Bryant's sounds lovely!

Congrats Furry and that's an admirable career and you can add to that by being their puppy.

My first ever trip to KC, I had to do the Arthur Bryant thing as my rib buddy, an expert, said they were among the finest in the land. I went and got a slab and some beer and brought them back to the hotel, shucked my clothes, get totally naked and in the tub with those ribs and began a gnaw down of epic proportions. There was a phone in the bathroom so I called my buddy to tell him about the ribs and made the mistake of describing how I was eating the ribs. He hung up on me.

We saw them that weekend and his wife was laughing her butt off. She said he told her about the call and would be sitting there trying to watch TV and would jump up and go "damn, I can't get that visual of of my head. Who does that?"

So, on your first night in your "come fall in love with me" townhouse, I've got an idea for dinner.

Haha, yaas, and thankies! I can't wait to start it! That's not a bad point, or, the horse as my fursona is a horse hehe.

I definitely have to go to Arthur Bryant's then.

That's a great plan. Lots of excellent BBQ here. I'm biased, but I think it's the best in the country.

I've spent a considerable amount of time in KC. That's a good part to be in. You will love Legends.

Different but I can't say it's the best. I can go with KC, Memphis and Tennessee BBQ as well as both Carolinas and Oklahoma has some fine BBQ as well. Texas is good for brisket and sausage but they don't get pork down here. And pork is my favorite BBQ.

Furry, are the Alameda and Raphael hotels still there? Used to like staying there and walking across the street to the original shopping center in the US and during the holidays, it was beautiful.

Apparently, Alameda has a new name as "InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza" . Meanwhile, Raphael is still there.

I'm a native Texan and BBQ freak. I love Texas BBQ but I think pound for pound KC is where it's at. Texas is the best brisket I've ever had, North Carolina pulled pork, but KC is my reigning champion for ribs, burnt ends, and BBQ bologna. KC is a cool town. I had a client in both Overland Park and in Olathe for several years and always made the BBQ tour while I was in town. If I was in town for 2 days I'd eat BBQ 4 times.
