I wish Demarcus Ware grabbed Golden Tate the way he did Dez

Stans are usually the folks who will defend a player to the end of the earth. It's not a difficult concept to fathom.

Who's bagging Dez, tho? No player is exempt for criticism. l like Dez as much as the next person and will defend him, but I will also criticize him when he's acting a boob, tho. We can agree to disagree on whether he was a boob for his sideline antics. I'm kinda done with that.

That said, I wasn't really trolling thread. I'm SMH at the fact that in order to prop up Dez, Zordon dogged out one of our team's best players. A guy who probably shedded more blood, sweat, and tears for this team than Dez has so far has in his career. Why can't you like both? Remember you just said, he is our player!!!! So I'm right there with you about some of the jokes being played by the fan base.

I know what a "Stan" is my point is people not saying you are always trolling threads to make comments about said player and the people who defend or talk positive about them. Sorry this player has gotten so much flak from "fans" since the day he was drafted and it was silly nonsense. Maybe dragging ware wasn't the brightest idea and I looked at what Ware did in a positive light that he was able to calm Dez down and he looked like he got a little upset with Witten but defused the situation, I got the feeling ware felt Dez pain.

Show a little consistency dware. You waited till after the game to talk tough to golden. Easy to be a tough guy to a shy kid like dez. Where was that when u had a front row seat to golden's cheap shot and dance over a laid out Lee?

It surely doesn't make Ware seem passionate? Isn't the gripe is the team has/displays no passion? Seems relelvant...

Agreed, that block on Lee should have been a fight right then and there whether it was right or wrong. Wonder what Haley does in that situation.

my point is i want d-ware to show more emotion when his teammate is laid out on the ground. show more consistency in leadership.

I loved watching dware over the years. but the dude played like a kitten for how big he was. He isn't much of a vocal leader

This thread... smh

<<---- big laugh at Dez being shy

dez is shy off the field. he doesn't have the power and clout in the organization like ware, romo and witten have. its easy to grab him, why didn't he grab golden? simple question WG.

Tate made a good block? Why are we even comparing the two? Dez was embarrassing himself and this organization. Tate made a good block on his teammate.

wrong. jason garrett was embarrassing himself and the organzation. tony romo was embarrassing himself and the organization in the 1st half. dez woke them up out of their country club nap. we should be thanking him and praising him today instead of trying to change him. you change dez, you take away his best attribute and what makes him special, his passion and desire to win. they better not try to change him.

He sits in the locker room, waits for you to come in and then pisses on your Jersey.

Because Dez is a Cowboy and represents the Cowboys and as a leader of the organization, it is incumbent upon you to get hold of Dez and get him back on track. It is not incumbent, or even accepted in this league to go out and beat down an opposing player. Those days are gone forever and if you do it, you are asking for a mutli-game suspension and fine.

There's nothing wrong with anything the OP said except "shy"! He's right and its not just Ware. There are alot of soft guys that only act tough to teammates. Where were the Dallas teammates when Witten was getting a cheap-shot and concussed on OUR SIDELINE years ago vs Washington? Where were the Cowboys when Gurode was getting stomped by Albert? Too many COWBOYS LOCKER ROOM tough guys. Our toughness mental and physical doesnt travel well. Figures most of you would harp on the shy part and miss the point of the thread. THIS TEAM HAS MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY SOFT LEADERS!!!!!!!!!

I don't disagree but the reality, IMO, is that the game has forced players into this role. No longer are the days where Mean Joe Green Could step off the sideline and pick up Dick Butkus, over his head, and throw him to the ground. No longer are the days when you can send a crackback block from a WR or TE to the DE for hitting your QB late. That's just not how the NFL works any longer and I do agree with you, I hate that this is gone from the game but it's hard for me to put it on the players when the league fines you and suspends you with only on judge. If you appeal, it goes to the same judge. I mean, you can't really blame the players here. This is something the league has worked hard to get rid of. If you want to blame somebody for that, then I think it should be the league and the owners because that's what killed it IMO.

ABQ I never said I wanted D-ware to go beat him down? D-ware in his comments following the game was obviously not happy about that play. Ok, so why not go check him. When Golden Tate is strutting like he did something special why didn't he go over and AT LEAST have a few words with him? Nobody did anything and people wonder why we get taunted by opponents so frequently. It's because the other team knows this franchise is full of choir boys.

Look at how Stalley and his boys came to Kaep's defense on this late hit. Is this too much to ask from D-ware or is this not allowed anymore in this country club franchise?

I don't know if anybody did anything or not, I don't know what was said then. I do know this. At that time, I think Rat was looked at as the teams Defensive Leader and not Ware. Over this season, for obvious reasons, I think that has had to change. I don't have a great answer for you as to why what did or did not take place. I just know that this is a different team and the leadership has definitely changed. Going forward, we will see what happens but it has to start in our own lineup. It has to start there IMO.

Regardless of suspension or fine, when you see a teammaate violated within the rules or outside of them, you RIDE for your teammate. There is no excuse to for 0 players to come to their side in any of those situation and some of those guys (WARE) has been with the team for all three incidents. I've asked this for years and still can't find a suitable answer, WHO IS OUR MAN? Doesnt have to be a thug, just a guy that you don't want to cross paths on or off the field. My signature hasn't changed for years in part because some of the main culprits that exemplify it, still exist on the roster and were when the game allowed sideline cheap shots and head stomps and taunting after a legal blindside hit.

i respect that but i also have to say, if you or WG or any of the other detractors do not have an answer for my question, then why is this considered excessive or rant worthy?

Interesting thing about this play -- basically Clay Matthews said in the lead up to that game that Kaepernick would get hit if the 49ers ran the read-option. There was a bunch of back and forth after that with Harbaugh saying the Packers were planning on trying to hurt Kaepernick -- the NFL intervened and clarified it was indeed ok to hit the QB in the read-option, etc, etc

Matthews did exactly what he said he would do -- he put a fairly dirty shot on Kaepernick -- Staley came to defend him (as he should have), however, the point was made and 49ers basically didn't run the read-option in the game going forward.

Interesting "game within the game" stuff. Was it dirty by Matthews? Yup. Did it achieve the goal Matthews desired? Yup. Could you see Ware or Sean Lee some other Cowboys doing that? No so sure.
