I wish Demarcus Ware grabbed Golden Tate the way he did Dez

i respect that but i also have to say, if you or WG or any of the other detractors do not have an answer for my question, then why is this considered excessive or rant worthy?

What's your question?

ABQ I never said I wanted D-ware to go beat him down? D-ware in his comments following the game was obviously not happy about that play. Ok, so why not go check him. When Golden Tate is strutting like he did something special why didn't he go over and AT LEAST have a few words with him? Nobody did anything and people wonder why we get taunted by opponents so frequently. It's because the other team knows this franchise is full of choir boys.

Look at how Stalley and his boys came to Kaep's defense on this late hit. Is this too much to ask from D-ware or is this not allowed anymore in this country club franchise?

Hmmm...I would like to see more of that from this team, TBH. Romo really gets a raw deal from the refs when it comes to late hits and it would be nice to see one of his OLmen come to his defense instead of just looking lost and picking Romo up off the turf.

Interesting thing about this play -- basically Clay Matthews said in the lead up to that game that Kaepernick would get hit if the 49ers ran the read-option. There was a bunch of back and forth after that with Harbaugh saying the Packers were planning on trying to hurt Kaepernick -- the NFL intervened and clarified it was indeed ok to hit the QB in the read-option, etc, etc

Matthews did exactly what he said he would do -- he put a fairly dirty shot on Kaepernick -- Staley came to defend him (as he should have), however, the point was made and 49ers basically didn't run the read-option in the game going forward.

Interesting "game within the game" stuff. Was it dirty by Matthews? Yup. Did it achieve the goal Matthews desired? Yup. Could you see Ware or Sean Lee some other Cowboys doing that? No so sure.

and that my friend is a big problem.

Regardless of suspension or fine, when you see a teammaate violated within the rules or outside of them, you RIDE for your teammate. There is no excuse to for 0 players to come to their side in any of those situation and some of those guys (WARE) has been with the team for all three incidents. I've asked this for years and still can't find a suitable answer, WHO IS OUR MAN? Doesnt have to be a thug, just a guy that you don't want to cross paths on or off the field. My signature hasn't changed for years in part because some of the main culprits that exemplify it, still exist on the roster and were when the game allowed sideline cheap shots and head stomps and taunting after a legal blindside hit.

Offensively, I think it's going to be Fredbeard. Defensively, I don't think that guy is on the team yet.

You don't have a problem with a rookie being the only MAN you listed? That right there proves the lack of veteran leadership that exists on this team. I'd add Murray, Lee and Dez to that group of potentials but not there yet.

my question was why ware did not step to golden tate when he was strutting over lee? why is he comfortable enough to do it to dez but not the opponent?

Well, I think I answered that. Firstly, I don't believe Ware was the guy who the team looked to as that physical retaliatory leader at that time and to be honest, that's probably a good thing. Those guys get fined and suspended and even injured because of their roles on occasion. That, I do not want for Ware. This year, his role has changed and he has been asked to step up and become more of a leader and I think we are starting to see that. Now, I don't think we can look back in past years and ask, why wasn't Ware a leader back then? I think we all know the answer to that but the point now is, who else could have actually stepped in there and settled down that situation? Romo could not have because the issue was with him. Witten obviously could not have because he was already pissed and had those to continued, they would have gone at it and that's no good. Lee nor Carter could have because they are both younger then Dez. It almost had to be DWare. He's the only one who has the time in, the respect of the team and the physical strength and agility to beat down both Witten and Dez if it comes down to that. I see Ware as doing the job he probably feel a bit reluctant to do but he's doing it. To me, that says something. I have no problem with that.

Well, if you don't have a problem with a Rookie starting and if that Rookie has the kind of personality to be that guy, then no, I don't. I don't want it to be Smith because he's too valuable. I don't know if we have a Guard, other then Waters, who can be that guy and Waters, well, he'd be great but he will be on the coach in the next year or so. Free is not the guy IMO so that leaves Fredbeard and I do think he's capable. He's got a bit of a nasty streak in him.

While I wished we had a player on Offense, who was already that guy, we don't so no, I don't feel terrible that I think it might be Fredbeard. I actually feel good about the fact that we may finally have that guy on the team.

I think its sad that not one existed on the team before this year.

I think they have in the past. I think Rat was probably that guy a few seasons ago and I think that Columbo was that guy a few years ago as well but they are now gone and we need a new set of guys to fill that role. It is what it is.

Nothing you can do about it now.

Show a little consistency dware. You waited till after the game to talk tough to golden. Easy to be a tough guy to a shy kid like dez. Where was that when u had a front row seat to golden's cheap shot and dance over a laid out Lee?

GoldenTate_TrucksSeanLee.gif

Agreed...

He is not a leader, and this is why teams try us like this.....we don't have enough Dez type players. Everyone on NFL AM said if we had 11 Dez's on both sides, we would actually be good.

Tired of Ware and Witten, if a player was getting stomped out on the ground. I truly believe they would just either stand there in shock, act as if they didn't see it until it's to late, or just sit there and scream "stop guys, refs do something"

That was an awesome block that would have crashed the Cowboyszone with excitement if a Cowboy threw it.

Nah he is not whining....

This has to be pointed out, the act is getting old by ware.

What act are you talking about?

And Dez has nothing to do with a conversation regarding other teams. Last I checked he was tearing down his own teammates, not getting in the faces of his opponent's. Next time Romo is hit late I'll keep my eyes on Dez and see if he gets the offender's face.

I've never had a problem with the block besides the fact that it was on Lee's chin and he drove upward toward his head when he hit him. What I have a problem with is that he celebrated when Lee was unable to get up. That's when a fight should've broken out.

I'm sure if Dez felt like he still diod not have to prove he has turned over a new leaf, he would of rattled the brain of D Hall a year ago.

I'm sure if he was not under such a microscope he would thrown hands to anyone who disrespects him, or his teammates.

The Ware act=picking up QB's after a sack...sacking them like they are a precious child....not showing emotion or firing guys up when we start to break down. Like why are you a leader?

This is a mans sport, patting the next man on the back, or clapping to your teammates basically saying "it's ok" after we screw up, is not leadership.

I get where you're coming from but that NFL is dying. It's more business now than sport and the players are co-workers for the most part. We might not like it but that's the way it's going.

There may be a few hold overs here and there but they're a dying breed.

I get the Dez love. I do. We all have our favorite players. But this is like the 4th thread pumping up Dez.

And then to dog out Ware in the process as if he's done nothing for this franchise is comical. The Dez stans are outworking the Romo stans right now. lol

Oh please....

I know you love you some Ware, and feel some type of way that he is now catching some long over due heat. Let's face it, what has ware done lately?? Name the last game, he has taken over, I challenge you.

Now Name the last game Dez has taken over.

Oh ok.....

This is a what have you done for me lately league, its a business, no? Sorry but just because you were once a great, does not mean you get a free pass. Ware is not Elite, or great anymore. He has fallen to the ranks of "good" maybe even "above average".

He can still get a sack, and create pressure here and there, but he is not dominate anymore, and never was a vocal leader. So he needs to just know his place. Maybe had he just stayed in his corner like he always has, when we blow big leads, we would have forgotten, how sad he has become, lately.
