I wish we could skip the Skins game

I don't see anything that can come out of the game positive. We have a ton of momentum and good feelings. If we play our back-ups and lose, it will put a dent in our confidence. The last two games against the Skins, Romo has gotten hurt. I just wish we could skip the game and get on with the playoffs.

Of course I know we can't. Just voicing my thoughts.

I would not travel the nicked up players (Romo, Murray, RMcClain...etc. ) to Washington. Play rest of the starters 1st quarter only. Play back ups the rest of the game and good to go.

This is what Garrett gets paid the big bucks for. When we take the field at noon in Landover there will still be a remote shot at the top seed. Does he risk starters on long odds? What are the ramifications if he plays the B team and the unlikely happens? Because as McNabb will tell you, ties do occasionally happen in the NFL. This is a huge decision Garrett has to make.....

I doubt Romo plays. Murray prob will play if he wants to get ESmiths rush record, if not, he'll sit too.

But as some have said, if there is a chance we could move up in seeding, then starters will play.

It doesn't matter if we win or lose next week. So, sit everyone. The only way we get a first round bye has absolutely nothing to do with us and is all about what other teams do.

Well if we win, it has something to do.

That's not entirely true.....I think.

Hahahahaha. Right. You couldn't beat us with your starters midseason.

I'd liken that to the Boys beating the Skins for their lone victory in a 1-15 season.

The Eagles also beat us on Thanksgiving. Didn't happen at their place though. Different team the last few weeks, to include the passing game kicking it up a notch. Not to mention, the Boys are the only undefeated team on the road.

Would perhaps rest several starters if there's nothing to gain. The Boys have a second season to prepare for...while this is the skins super bowl.

I think this upcoming game could be a big opportunity for Weeden. He did well vs the skins when Romo went down then looked awful vs the Cards. I know if I was in Weeden shoes I would love to have this game as a chance to redeem myself

I can't imagine Tony, Dez, Murray and Witten getting down because Dustin Vaughan, Devin Street and James Hanna didn't play well in a meaningless game.

I'm just glad it didn't come down to a must win. I play the starters for at least a half. Unless they picked up more injuries yesterday.
Keep this train rolling.

I think the only way it matters if the Cowboys win or not is if Detroit and Green Bay tie.

Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Otherwise, it doesn't matter at all.

You are probably right, but Garrett still has to make the call.

I would like to know why you have a Rowdy picture up? Gives the impression you're a Cowboys fan. At least be honest and use a Commanders picture. No need to go Judas on us.

Its the default picture here - I have to get around to changing it....I've never claimed to be a Boys fan. I also never talked crap after the midseason game. I just don't think we'd lose to your backups. Your starters, yes...if they played the way they did against Philly and Indy we wouldn't have much of a shot.

The intangibles are in our favor this last week though.

I'm guessing youre a skins fan. Based on how the entirety of each teams seasons have played out, it's safe to say that game was a fluke

True. But we swept you in 1995 as well when we were otherwise abysmal. You beat us in 1989 when you went 1-15 and we were 10-6.

One thing that's always been consistent - Cowboys/Commander games are fairly unpredictable affairs.
