I wonder what Tony thought?

While watching the Vikings offense tear through the Packers defense on Monday Night, I wondered if Tony was watching?

Bet Tony was thinking that he could play with that kind of poise and reckless abandonment all at the same time - just like Brett.

Tony's confidence seems to be lacking, but I bet after watching that game, he believes that he can let loose like Brett did.

Tony and Brett share similar styles of play, but so far this season, Tony is nowhere close to playing at the level.

I just hope Tony and the WR's can get it together.

WHERE ARE YOU TONY?

I bet Tony also wished our recivers knew where to line up and what routes to run like the Viking receivers apparently do.

I didnt see Farve having a fire drill in the backfield pointing left and right trying to line everybody up correctly and then snapping the ball with 1 second left on the clock.

I bet Tony is thinking it must be nice to play QB when everybody else on offense knows what the hell is going on.

I just don't understand how we can still have people confused about where to line up and what routes to run when we've been running a variation of the same offense for 3 years now. I mean, I understand that some of the personnel is new, but the vast majority were here last year. What the hell do we do in practice?

Hell, what do we do in OTAs and Training Camp?

I hear ya buddy, I have no idea what the hell we are doing in practice. Hell, we probably dont even practice period. That is what it looks like on Sunday, it looks like a team on the first day of summer camp.

If players dont know where to line up, what the hell are they doing in the game in the first place. I remember in High School, if we didnt know the play that was called we sat on the bench the rest of practice.

I guess Wade doesnt have the balls to bench anybody.

There is no question in my my Romos' confidence is lacking. He seems to be playing not to make mistakes instead of playing to win.

Dude, enough with the TO references.

Our current WRs are a bunch of scrubs, I will grant you that.

I think what most people accidently don't recognise is that if you look or act like another person that doesn't mean you ARE the other person.

Romo seemed to imitate Favre his whole life. So he looks a bit like him he acts like him his style of play is the same. But to conclude that Romo has the talent like Favre or can play like Favre on a regular basis is a big mistake.

Last season Romo tried to imitate Brady and it seems that he got more confused by that then to get his play to the next level. But why did he do that ?

Trying to be like someone else is always a sign that you don't believe in your own skills. Deep down inside (and that's unconscious) you don't believe that your talent is enough to succeed. Wether it's how you look, how you speak, how intelligent you are etc... It doesn't matter. Personal instability has many different looks. And btw. most of us have those and they have great lives. That's because those instabilities only matter when you get caught in a situation where exactly those characteristics in which you are uncertain are put on the test

My theory is that Romo is not a person with a great inner strenght. To me it seems he lacks natural self-confidence. To me he seems to be like two persons: the first one is a grown up man who treats football very professional, the second one is still a small kid who wants to have fun but also lacks the grown up personality to make the right decissions for himself.

I think Romo needs a trainer that can be his father figure. Someone who can show him the way and if Romo believes in him he will follow. I think Bill Parcells was that to him and thats why he got better. Right now on our training staff trainers are more like buddies to him. There is nothing wrong with those relationsships as long as you are a grown man who can stand on his own feet (like Favre). But if you are not and still need someone who has to take you by the hand in some situations this relationship is not good.

All we got is StayPuff and Tecmo..........I dont see much help coming for Romo.:(

My main point was to stop giving Romo excuses. I don't want to hear anything about recievers lining up wrong. Lead this team! It's Romo friendly now. What else does he need? Want us to bring in Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald and give him A Peterson in the backfield for him to suceed? jeez

He was probably wishing he had a speed WR in Percy, A tall WR like Sidney, and a good deep threat like Berrian.

And of course a real NFL arm like Brett.
