I would sign Terrell Owens

Before you just go nuts hear me out.

1. I am not a T.O. lover, nor a basher. I think he did pretty well when he was here, and I think he wasn't as big a problem as the media made him out to be.

2. I DO think T.O. undermined Romo and Garrett at times. Not in a purposeful kind of way, but just in his moments of frustration.

BUT....

Here is my reasoning. You are now without Miles Austin. You are now in the midst of your make it or break it stretch of the season. In other words, we have a REAL opportunity with this portion of our schedule.

And I honestly don't see a good replacement for the 3rd receiver spot. Obviously Robinson steps up to #2, but who runs #3?

Sign him for the least amount of money you can. CUT HIM after Austin gets healthy, if you want to.

But USE HIM for this short section of the season and lets try to win these next four games.

Just my opinion.

I don't get how you can say this. No. 2 on your list is exactly why he was just as big a problem as he was made out to be.

If we're going to go after a disgruntled veteran WR I'd much rather sign Randy Moss.

Look it....

If you are against the idea, I'm not going to take much issue with you. I COMPLETELY understand the caution.

But what I'm looking at is a 5 game stretch of opportunity.

I'm not talking about keeping Owens long term. Guys get picked up all the time in the NFL for short term goals.

He might not even sign for such a thing, but if he would, I'm just saying I would take a short term flyer on the guy until Austin gets well.

He wouldn't put the team over the hump.

Probably wouldn't even get Dallas to the hump.

You know what Double Wing, I won't disagree with you about Moss either. I'm just saying I think we need to get a VETERAN, proven wide out. Austin is going to suffer with these hammys for awhile it seems, and I don't want Holly or Ogletree on the field that much.

A 1 year contract at vet min? I'm not opposed to it. He may have undermined Romo and Garrett, but they sure did have damned good chemistry.

It would be pretty surreal, though.

I don't want T.O. anywhere near Dez.

What's the league record for sideline tantrums in a single season?

Without the knee injury, it would be worth considering, but the guy is such a loose cannon, both in the locker room and in life (supposedly he tried to overdose AGAIN a few weeks ago). I just think it's best to keep TO out of the locker room at all costs.

I'd definitely give Moss a look. Something tells me that guy can still get deep and haul in a few touchdowns. That's all we need.

No thanks. We served our time as the league's circus, time to let someone else have all the fun.

It's sad that we have two worthless guys on the roster like Ogletree and Holley when it comes to being a legitimate WR in this league. The Boys can learn a thing or two from a team like GB. All 5 WR's for the Packers are able to play the WR position at a high level.

I don't see the point to bringing in a potentially negative influence.

What would bringing in either Owens or Moss accomplish?

It doesn't make the offensive line or the defense any better and I don't see this team competing with the league's powerhouses with or without either of them.

I agree Wayne that we don't seem to be real deep at the WR spot.

You may be right Stash. I just think we DO have a window of opportunity in terms of being a playoff contender. And maybe Garrett gets it done with what we have. I just think it will be a whole lot harder with the #3 receivers we have.

if jerry wants headlines and ratings through the roof he would do it.

But i would rather get Randy

Thanks for allowing us to know why you're not the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys...
