I'd rather have Micah and Williams than what we ended up with

I still think it was smart getting those deals done even if the play of the field isnt whats been expected. None of the deals this offseason really hinder anything the Cowboys would want to do moving forward. Ferg, Bland, Osa all have pretty easy outs after next year.
I just don’t think they commit salaries to all those guys if Micah is here. I see Tyler and Bland getting done with Micah. I see them letting Pickens walk too at that time too.

Oh i get what you're saying, although now that looks to be more of an argument for just keeping Micah lol. Keeping Parsons probably would mean letting Pickens walk though.

I'd rather Build my Defense around EzE with Williams.
Why not have Eze, Williams, and Parsons? The either/or lets balance the budget mindset has been the issue around here for years now. At some point we have to collect as much talent as possible and make a run for a championship. Typically when you have a 32 year old QB teams have a bit more urgency.

Why not just trade for Williams at the beginning of the year and keep Micah?

So basically Kenny Clark and a 1st round pick for Micah a generational pass rusher.

We didn’t need to trade Micah to acquire Williams.

I bet our run defense still stinks btw
I'm sorry you're not happy.

Not a fan of the player Parsons is becoming, that is all.

The Parsons Contract would not allow this to happen.

You wasnt getting Williams at the beginning of the year, why would they trade him?

They’re 1-7 now and in full blown rebuild mode

And if we Paid Micah you can kiss your butt goodbye because you think we stink now we’d only be a tad better because micah keeps the score to around 34 instead of 40

My understanding is that the Cowboys asked for Williams in a trade package to the Jets for Micah, but the Jets weren't willing to meet Parsons' $47 million apy request.

Also the Jets weren't in fire sale mode before the season. If they won a few games they'd probably kept Williams around.

Jets weren’t shopping QW at the first of the season. Also, your math doesn’t add up on draft picks.

Keep Micah = Parsons, Williams, one 1st rounder 2026, zero 2nd rounder 2026, zero 1st rounders 2027

Trade Parsons = Williams, Clark, two 1st rounders, zero 2nd rounder 2026, one 1st rounder 2027

The difference for trading Parsons is still one extra 1st round pick 2026, one extra pick 2027 plus Clark

But the thing is once you acquire a talented interior player like Williams having a luxury pass rushing edge is what creates dominant defenses. You can only double so many players on the front 4.
Until they run at him like Carolina did,,, and everybody that plays them going forward. Micah is a great pass rusher but he can be managed by a balanced offense and even exploited.

We needed Micah’s cash to sign superstars like Ferguson and Bland.

Yeah, it’s great in hindsight to believe we still would have gotten Q for this years 2nd and next years 1st, and certainly that one would be terrific, but the jets weren’t selling until now and there’s just no guarantee it works out the way you suggest

I don't understand, if you wanted to break it down it would be Kenny Clark, Quinnen and a 1st for Micha. The extra ones allowed the trade, regardless if it was ours or GBS.
And I’m saying I’d rather have Micah than Clark and a late first

Exactly it’s about balance in the front seven we still have no legit pass rusher so even if our run defense improves we still have a glaring weakness in the back 7

And it may be one season of Clark, if we cut him.

too bad that's not the way this works. We didn't CHOOSE these guys over Micah, we chose these guys BECAUSE of Micah. To look at this as if it was a choice between having Micah or Williams/Kenny Clark/1st is pointless except to rage bait.
