I'd rather have Micah and Williams than what we ended up with

Why is it that everyone here who thinks the trade is good is also incapable of spelling Micah's name correctly?
I personally am a bad speller, and to make matters worse, I just dont care. Can't speak for the other illiterates.

Why not just trade for Williams at the beginning of the year and keep Micah?

So basically Kenny Clark and a 1st round pick for Micah a generational pass rusher.

We didn’t need to trade Micah to acquire Williams.

I bet our run defense still stinks btw
Cowboys offered up Mica to the Jets for Williams and some picks, but the Jets did not want to pay Mica that huge contract.

That and I think the Cowboys vastly overrated their own defense, I dont think that they thought trading Parsons would make them the worst defense in the entire NFL, but the numbers dont lie.

So you got the worst defense in the NFL and the Jets are having a fire sale since they are 1-7. The two teams call each other up and decide to make a deal. Jets need picks to rebuild and Dallas needs better players on defense than what they currently have.

That is how deals are made, circumstances change over time.

Well, I think you're actually being a little too pessimistic about it.
There's no guarantee the Packers make the playoffs or win a playoff game both years. You have the Cowboys picking 12th each year, which, yeah, okay. But future year picks are generally discounted vs. current year picks, so the 2027 picks aren't worth as much. So instead of netting -530 in 2027, it's probably properly valued at more like -150. Which means the net of the picks is maybe as much as 100 points in our favor, which is coincidentally the 100th pick in the draft (an early 4th).

So, Micah for Williams, Clark and the 100th pick in the draft. Yeah, that's bad.
Yeah, to include the points, you have to make a decision.

Will the Cowboys #1 next year be as bad as this year? God I hope not.

Will the Pack make the playoffs again next year? I don’t see why not to be honest.

I’m hoping it looks a *little* better in a year and

If you look at the value of all these picks, it roughly grades out to Micah for Williams.

Two GB 1sts is roughly equal to Cowboys 1st and Cowboys 2nd

Personally, I think Micah is hands down more valuable than Williams. He’s younger and more impactful. I’m sure there are some who would take Williams.

Clark is a non-factor because I don’t think he’s here next year.

So, the idea that we somehow won in the end is just wrong.

But, it’s done. On to next year and let’s pray that Q has four more high quality years.
So Clark is a non factor because you think so? He will be here for the next 2 and half years.

I guess we’ll see. They could cut him in the spring.

He’s also been far from he dominant run stuffer so many people bought into after the press conference

If you watched him last night he was the best Cowboys defender on the field.

Micah Who?

LOL so hilarious and funny enough, someone posted right after your post and did the same exact thing. Guess they didn't read your post or look at the title of this thread

Clark is a pretty good player. I’m fine with him being on the team and we have plenty of other players who need to go before him.

You have to admit, there was a line full of people wanting to call him elite. There was at least one regularwho said him for Micah straight up was a good deal.

It will come down to whether the cowboys want to cut him or restructure. He’s got an $11m roster bonus next year and a cap hit of $21m.

They aren't a lock to make the playoffs this year packers pom pom boy. When did the Packers become a juggernaut? They are 1 game from being on the outside looking in.

You just made a thread about how you’ve given up on the Cowboys. WTH?

You should work for Jerra in the Finance Dept. Now what?

I sure hope they fall out of the playoffs but I think it’s unlikely.

It’s not my money and I honestly don’t care how they spend it because they are so incompetent that smart cap management seems impossible for them.

He’s just got a huge cap hit next year and Jerry has been talking about brining in four “great” free agents with all of his extra money.

That’s got to come from somewhere

We gained Kenny, Williams, and a 1st
We lost Micah and a 2nd... and Mazi.

Not a bad trade, imo. Fairly even. We also don't have to pay Micah, but these DTs and 3-4 years older than Micah, however they are under contract for a while, albeit with sizeable cap hits. So, yeah, fairly even.

Bad Math.

Dallas added Clark, Williams, and an extra first round pick this year.

Dallas gave up Parsons and a second round pick this year while dumping Mali’s 3 million salary next season.

Great deal! Clark and Williams together don’t quite add up to what Micah’s salary would be.

Until they run at him like Carolina did,,, and everybody that plays them going forward. Micah is a great pass rusher but he can be managed by a balanced offense and even exploited.
Yeah Carolina totally exploited Micah Parsons putting up 16 points on 260 yards on the Green Bay defense. This is the *checks notes* ....1st 100 yard rusher Green Bay has allowed this season and they remain 3rd best in football in Y/A allowed. Did every other team just not get the memo that you just have to run right at Micah Parsons for easy TDs as he is too busy counting his $47M to defend it?
