What'd be best is if one of our prospect receivers stepped up.

JJ is the only one past due.......he has done it in the past and we expect more out of him--or I do.

I'd love to see the same kind from Julius Jones that I see the last half of his rookie season. Still can't understand exactly what has happened. I can't believe his running this year is what Parcells wants. Jones certainly know how to cut back and see holes (even if there weren't any) to get the job done. I believe we won all of those games he ran up ridicuously high yardage. What upsets me if we trade him/let him go to another team/draft another RB to replace him, the next team he might produce great runs and everyone wonders what stopped him here. Really don't think Parcells emphasis on negative yardage responsible for this. Frankly, I think we need add another RB who can supplant JJ and be a better complement to MBIII.

I don't know if I would add Fasano. He's done pretty well. And everyone knows that tight ends are going to produce more in their 2nd year, than their first. If the offensive line improves next year, he'll have a much larger role in our offense.

I think Crayton is already starting to step his game up a notch, he's out performing both Randel El and Lloyd and they make elite money, so he can't be that bad :D In the limited time we've seen from Hurd that he appears to have some real potential, the problem is that with TO, Glenn, Crayton, and you can even include Witten that it's hard to get any catches behind these guys. Speaking of potential you could even include Austin on this list, he looked really good in preseason. Hurd and Austin were both undrafted so any kind of preduction from them will be more then expected.

A runner with JJ's style has to be allowed to use his natural ability and imagination. He doesn't move piles and is tackled by the first guy that lays a finger on him (usually). He is doing exactly what he has been coached to do. I blame this on Parcells. I'm not a Parcells basher, he's done a great job but nobody is perfect.

I agree with big emphasis on Watkins, Spears, JJ, and Canty.
I think Ratliff is doing all that could be expected of him given his amount of PT. I think Ratliff is doing more with his PT than Spears and Canty but make a great rotation. I think the same for Hatcher. If Hatcher learns to play the run well, he'll be ferocious, he's already a good passrusher, as a rookie.
I think Fasano will be good. I think he's proven he has good hands. I think he'll be a good one but I don't think he'll be Witten-good.
Add Grammatica to the list also LOL.
I'd also like to see Hurd and/or Austin develop.

I think Ratliff has already stepped up this year in a pretty big way.

He's exceeded any reasonable expectations anyone could have had prior to us drafting him.

By comparing Crayton to Lloyd and Randel El you are not comparing to much, the Redstinks didn't have a decent QB, it is their first year their, and they have a new OC Saunders. You have to admit, however, that Crayton is blossming into maybe the next Glenn, he is playing two great WRs and a Solid pro bowler TE Witten and he is still having decent numbers.

I simply compared Crayton to them because they are WR's that one would consider around Crayton's talent level, I couldn't very well compare him to Chad Johnson could I? because Johnson is a #1 WR. I think most people understood why I would compare Crayton to those two particular WR's.

On another note I wouldn't exactly call Brunell a bad QB he had a 62% completion percentage and twice as many TD's as opposed to INT's.

Lastly if you're going to say those two didn't have a decent QB for half the year, then you can say the same about Crayton also, as he had Bledsoe throwing his way, Bledsoe almost had as many INT's in one game(3) as Brunell had all year(4)!

There are a few stat comparisons to look over with a few recievers widely considered "better" than Crayton. Considering the draft picks and contracts on these players and Crayton being a number 3 WR behind TO and Glenn, not bad looking to me.

The Cowboys organization has high hopes for Miles Austin I believe, the guy is 6'3 and 215 lbs and runs like a 4.4. I'm hoping he comes along pretty quickly here I.E. like a Jimmy Smith, only this time NOT to cut him!
