Should have known when I clicked on this thread it would be a flock of romo lovers. Oh well. Lets keep finding stats to prove the December losses happen in spite of tony.

Never mind that Dez runs the wrong route. Blame #9 and you will make friends on here.

On all 3 INTs? Wow. Dez must suck.

I'm sorry, but do you know how ridiculous you sound?

I said Romo threw 3 INTs, and you said Dez ran the wrong route. What's your point?

No it wouldn't. Every one of us that question his mistakes want the team to win. You and others would love for it to be just that easy.

But what you fail to realize, or refuse to take into account is I can like Romo, but refuse to make excuses for his mistakes.

I'm just as big a fan as you or anyone else. I just don't truck with excuse making for Romo or anyone else, player, coach, and especially GM. Regardless if you like it or it hair lips the governor.

There are people here that it absolutely would kill if he was successful. They're obvious by the fact that when he's not blowing a game, or is playing well, they're pretty much silent. No one needs to point out the few cause everyone, including them, knows who they are. Those few also don't feel the need to try and defend themselves from comments like this either so you don't need to worry about people mistaking you for the small group I'm refering to.

This is the exact reason why you guys who rush to make excuses aren't taken seriously. Your last line should have been all you posted. Yes, he had a bad game. Nothing else be said.

But there will always be two paragraphs excusing his gaffs.

So either Romo played well, or not.

Some days he plays like no other quareterback in this league. He is amazing.

Other times he makes mental mistakes or risks far too much.

It is not the fault of those that point out that some of his worst games come when all the chips are on the table.

It's called perspective, TD3.

I said he didn't play well twice there.
The point was that circustances most certainly did (and do) affect outcomes. In t ateam sport, you just can't look at a player or result of a game vacuum.

Right, after two paragraphs of making excuses.

There's no point to put anymore than that. I argue with the same happy fans on here about Romo that I argued with about Garrett years and years ago.

No matter how correct or obvious the argument is, it doesn't matter. it's just willful blindness at this point.

I really can't sum it up any better than that.

Not if your record is 11-15. I get the stats folks but it doesn't mean anything unless we win. That's just how it is.

I've seen multiple Romo fans as passionate as yourself on this forum completely change their minds and are now Romo realists. So be careful who you call dumb and uneducated.

With all due respect that is hard to believe. First "multiple" implies a number of people and the "realists" number about ten percent here so it's not like an army of posters are bagging Romo.

Second, if anything Ive seen posters come around on Romo much more than have turned on him.

I guess when the team around Troy Aikman became either injured or over the hill--and/or he became injured but played anyway-- and his team started losing, that was not an excuse either.

Or maybe swap Florida States' team with SMU's--all except Jameis Winston. Then if they lose, he's sucks...because there are no excuses.
Teams are made up of 45 or so players and each week 30-35 or more of them play vital roles. Although the QB is the most important player, there is no sport where the most vital player is more dependent on his teammates to achieve success.

That is not an excuse, that is freaking reality.
This no-excuses stuff goes to far at times. You'd think some of you have never played team sports before.

That is NOT saying that any or all players cannot have a bad game.

Romo is CLEARLY not the issue with the team and he is probably the teams most valuable player at all times but he did have a bad game last year against Washington and I don't think anyone could deny that.

let us fans form a posse and find Romo and hang him. He is guilty no trial needed. Let him hang!

I agree. It seems like the only reason people make Romo threads is to build huge thread numbers. You're almost guaranteed to get 4 plus pages if you talk about Tony Romo. They also make these threads to get under the skin of people like me who want a different QB. And then we get in trouble if we go off, this is why I say what I have to say and move on.

oh that's it. Just for you these threads are set up. On then subject of the teams December record, it sure would help if we had at least half of our starters in uniform this year

If Romo leads the team to the playoffs with a successful December, I bet you'll be a no show around here like the rest of the haters.

If your goal is to win your fantasy football league, there are few QB's I'd take over Romo. If your goal is to win a title, I can think of a dozen QB's I'd put in front of him.

If Romo leads this team to a Superbowl win, at any point, there are a handful of people here who would simply never return. It would be soul crushing for them.

You may be right, but there are at least a couple in the group who are too vain, have no shame, and would probably just put a new spin on things. After all, spin is their main endearing quality.
