Would you give up 8, 25 AND our 2nd rounder to get in the top 2 for McFadden? That is what it'll take folks.

I think we could keep this years #2 IF we offer a #1 in 2009. Opinions ? I like Barber alot, but if Eric Dickerson is sitting there, I think you gotta pull the trigger. Plus you know Jerry is just going to draft a Spears/Burnett/Carpenter type w/ those #1's anyway.

No, I wouldn't.

I'd take Antoine Cason or Jimmy King at 8, Ray Rice at 25, and use our 2nd on the best WR on the board.

Just hypothetical on Cason, King, and Rice.

I like Mike Hart over Ray Rice...

I still think the clowns will be last place. No way they are as good as they looked -- Cincy is all offense, no defense.

However, everything depends on Free Agency. If we get a stud corner and NT in free agency, then I say we should pull the trigger on getting McFadden.

Chances are, we won't spend a ton to get one in FA, although if we picked one in the 1st round, he's going to get paid pretty good himself. But all depends on what we do in free agency.

Do you really have any faith in Jerry with late #1's and #2's anymore ? Hatcher's, Burnett's, Antonio Bryants etc.

If YOU were picking that's another story, but the oil man has me on edge. I think we can label Carpenter a bust. Spears too.

Yup. It's not like we don't have the cap room to go after a top corner.

25th? Given up on the season already? Treachery I tell you, pure treachery, 32nd or bust.

IMO, that's too high a price.

Actually I think Hatcher was doing well. He was challenging Spears for his job until he got hurt. Give Hatcher time to get back to where he was before his injury and who knows who could be starting at that position.

Also Kevin Burnett also was really playing well until he got hurt. He's back now and fully healthy and part of the reason our defense played better then game against the Giants.

I am certainly glad your not the GM of the Cowboys.... it wont take three picks to move up to the top two.... Try switching first round picks and a player off the current roster say JJ or Barber..... McFadden is just too good to pass up

No we already have a stud power back in MB3. We would be better off keeping all our picks and getting a Ray Rice or Slaton and keep the picks. We can get DT, WR, OL value late in One and into round 2.

Like I've said before, I'm a huge DMac fan and I'd love to see him as a Cowboy, but I wouldn't give away two #1's for him. Not when you could adress other needs. If he's sitting there when our first pick comes around, I'd take him in a heartbeat, I'd possibly consider trading a first and a second.... but no way would I get rid of two first rounders.

Will you write me a letter of recommendation to Jerry?

I'll go to work.
