Just saying that Dak's numbers the last 2 games are horrible, if he puts up another stinker next week against Tampa, I think the team has to seriously consider going to Romo.

We cant choke away a season like this and if Dak has been figured out (blitz him and cover all short routes and make him beat you deep and odds are he cant).

I guarantee that teams are not going to be blitzing Romo like that. Just something to consider if Dak has basically 3 suck games in a row.
You overreact much?

I just can't help but think that with Romo we win going away in both Giants games

They are such a fraudulent team
Every team in the NFL is a fraudulent team, including the Dallas Cowboys. There's not a team that can't be had. They all have major flaws in their game.

If he and the offense continue to struggle the next few weeks against 2 quality opponents, then you can take serious consideration to replacing him with Romo.

People on here need to stop acting like Romo didnt wet the bed against Carolina last year or against SF and Philly the year before. A QB is allowed to have poor performances and unless it becomes a trend, you dont overreact like a child and bench him.

It is officially a trend.

You officially dont know what you're talking about. He had a great performance against B-More, followed by back to back solid outings against Washington and Minnesota. This was the first game he had all year where he played poorly throughout.

I live in Tampa and happen know a couple people within that organization. Good folks. So I reached out to them to get their take on the Cowboy QB situation. Both had the same take-you don't sit a QB with an 11-2 record and neither believed the last two games provide sufficient reason to make a change.

My follow up question: Who would you rather face......same answer to that question too, Dak. Neither wanted to see Romo on Sunday night, FWIW.

I found both responses interesting.

Of course they don't want to face Romo.

No team wants to deal with the guilt of putting an old man in the hospital.

Dak has been great for most of this season, but he's struggled mightily in back to back games.

If you read my posts carefully, I'm not suggesting Dak be pulled immediately. But if the offense continues to struggle under, there is a very obvious solution sitting right there on the bench.
Ifs and buts is speculating. He is a rookie and guess he has to be perfect every game or some fans call for his head

It's not a three-game slump. It's one bad game.

Dak was very good against Washington, and he was more than efficient enough against Minnesota. Those were "bad" games only in the fantasy football world.

I agree with you in the Washington game but he was pretty bad againsrt Minnesota, he had 135 yards and that's including a 50 yard pass, so he had 80 yards the rest of the game. He had only one good drive the entire game and 2 fumbles, one he lost and the other one cost us a crucial first down. And don't forget sliding one yard from the first down to win the game.

If we lose to Tampa, you got to go to Romo at that point in my opinion.........you cant choke away a season like this because your rookie QB starts playing like a rookie.

Daks not choking he is still the bus driver he has always been Garrett n Linehan are throwing Dak under the same bus he's been driving looking for any excuse to insert Romo and quite frankly it's pathetic. If you want to play Romo then have the stones to play him rather than force game plans to make Dak look bad so you can have an excuse to bench him. Its very sad actually.

He had only 18 attempts all game. Throwing for 139 yards on only 18 attempts is good. The long pass was the biggest offensive play of the game. He also had several scrambles for nice gains, including converting on third-and-13 to kick start a TD drive.

The fumbles weren't good. Sliding before the first down is him just not realizing where the ball is spotted when you slide (maybe because the officials usually spot it incorrectly, which is why that play was reversed upon review).

Like I said, he was more than efficient enough against Minnesota, he just didn't pile up the fantasy numbers because we didn't throw much.

Ok I can live with that, It's just that that game followed by last nights is somewhat worriesome. Let's hope he can silence all the chatter against Tampa.

If not we have a hell of an insurance policy.

Only 1 loss in those 3 games. If he loses 2 more in a row in similar fashion, I think maybe consider it. Tampa Bay made Brees look pretty bad.

Have you seen Brees play the last 6 weeks or so? He's lost it IMHO
Yeah, right. Romo will crucify the blitz. If there is ANY QB that is suited to beat the blitz, it's the fast-reacting, quick releasing Romo.

Sometimes that's true. Then there are the times the blitz gets home and he gets hurt...see Giants, Philly, Seattle games. Be real man.

As opposed to the "Let me hold the ball as long as I can and get one more bone broken" Romo.
Those usually don't happen on blitzes.

Romo's problem happen when he doesn't like to quit on a play. It makes for some spectacular plays (like against in Seattle in 2014), but then it also results in blindside hits just after he releases the ball. That's always been a problem with Romo that Parcells tried to manage a little too conservatively. Parcells tried to reinforce that it's better to take the loss than attempt to make something out of nothing.
