we are in trouble, for two major reasons.

1. The offense does not want him.

2. He doesnt want our offense, obviously by interviewing.

Its hard to work together when u dont like each other. It will explode.Love them or hate them TO and Romo are right about him. Please get the Rams job. Please fire Wade. Please get Shanny.I know I may be pipedreaming.Or pipesmoking, lol.I have visions of a west coast style Offense just going off with out weapons.wow.

If you think that an OC job is better than being head coach somewhere then you really don't know what you are talking about. Guys need to interview and should take head jobs if offered. Those opportunities don't come along that often. This has NOTHING to do with him not liking our O.

Hes making more here. Why would he want to quit on us,when he is going to get the HC job here if he stays?

Tony Romo would be flat-out ridiculous in the WCO. He has an incredible release and is pretty damn accurate. It also requires a mobile QB, and we all know how TR is. Plus, TO is at his best in this style of offense.

YES its so obvious.Romo is a perfect west coast qb.TO thrives off this.Eagles are in the nfc championship and with a quarter of the weapons. We have our westbrook in felix. We have romo who is better then mccflabb when healthy. We have TO.We have a possesion reciever in RW.We have a hammer in Barber.Maybe another speedy WR in the slot, perhaps miles. Our defense would be fine with a decent DC.I personally would go back to 4-3 and yes i would use Campo. He was our best DC in the last 20 years, look it up.

Because there is NO guarantee that Wade will quit or be fired any time soon. Plus, if he has another season where the O is poor, it becomes less and less likely that he'd get the job here.

Although many folks think the Dallas job is a dream position, the crappy performances of this team for the last decade and a half, the meddling owner, and the intense media scrutiny make the situation less than desirable for many.

Oh yeah. What makes you so sure he's not going to get MORE money to HC somewhere? I doubt teams would expect him to take a pay cut

Your right about Garrett, I hope somebody told him that there's an opening for the Raiders. I'm sure he can get that job. ;)

If you hire Shanahan, you'll have to change the Defense again. I don't know if you'd change that. They did pretty good this year. Offensively, I'd be happy to see Shanahan.

Don't forget M. Holmgren is also a good candidate.

The Broncos ran a 3-4 when Shanahan took over back in 1998. they won the SB with that D.

Is that a rhetorical question or do you really not know who the DC was?

Hell has frozen over. I do agree. Tony has talent to do anything on the field except shed tacklers easily. His problem is not protecting the ball for the zillionth time.

Hey. I have that copyrighted and exclusive use of that on this forum. You'll have to find another. But you're right.

Either TO goes and JG stays or vice versa. I just cant see them BOTH on this team next year. TO just does not respect JG. Making TO happy and forcing throws and plays to him is what is wrong with this offense. JG cares about keeping everyone happy instead of doing whats best for this offense AKA running the ball 30+ times..controlling the clock, Less pressure off Romo and the Defense reeking havoc!!..similiar to...The Pittsburgh Steelers

I dont mind this thread.

On one condition.

If Garrett leaves and leads his NEW team to lets say playoff win in first year or Title game win or SB win or what have you.... You gotta promise not to start a thread that starts with

"We should have neve let Garrett go"

or

"Jerry was a fool for not doing eveything in his power to keep Garrett in Dallas"

As long as you promise.... :laugh2:

Its not so much about if he is successful elsewhere, that tells me nothing just that the personnel worked better with him on the new team.our team isnt a good fit for his style of Offense.

WCO ? And where do you find the QB that has the abilitiy to play in that offense ?
It's a matter of game planning for what the players on the roster can do, not just hoping these guys can change their abilities/tendencies to fit his playbook.

I've been pretty happily saying I'd like to see Garrett leave but the more and more threads and discussions I see on it and the more and more I think about it the less and less I like the idea. I'm starting to lean toward the idea that him staying is probably a better idea because, after all, this was only his second season calling plays as an OC. He's still learning his job and I've defended Tony many times by reminding people that coming into this season he'd had all of a year and a half as a sarter so I think I should probably apply the same idea to Garrett.

He needs a bit more time before I should be going around saying he can't do the job or not.
