I feel we have turned the corner... this game was a statement game. I belive we are a steamroller now... no more letting teams stay in games.

Just flat out domination. Romo is our wildcard. He will get it done.
His mental approach and decision making is unbelievable.

First place here we come

won't we technically be tied with them until we play them in 2 weeks?

with our 1-3 DIVISIONAL record we still will be behind them even if we beat them in the rematch. Theyhave to lose all their divisional games left or we have to have a better record. They have the tie breakers.

sorry but i was under the impression that the overall record supercedes the division. so if we just end up with a better record than the giants despite divisional games, we win the east.....correct?

We need to win out and the Giants need to lose one other game (besides us beating them) for us to win the divison. After tonight, the Giants have road games in Tennessee and Carolina. Also a home date vs. New Orleans.

If the playoffs started today, we would be the 6th seed in the NFC and we would go to Seattle for the first round game.

Odds are that if we end up with the same overall record they will still have the divisional record edge.

Romo said something very interesting yesterday that leads me to believe that Bill and the Cowboys are looking to try and win EVERY game from here on out....

Romo said something like "QB's dont win games they try not to lose them and leave a chance for winning them at the end"

Sure we wouldn't be fifth and in New Orleans?

Doesn't the head to head supercede conference record? We beat Carolina.

No, it goes by Record first. They would be 6-4 and we would be 7-4

Yes, Head to Head is the first Tie Breaker. Conference is 4th.

1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

Carolina would win the NFC South based on head-to-head record against New Orleans. New Orleans would finish ahead of the Cowboys based on NFC record.

OK then. It looks like it would be Seattle today, then, altho we'd still be 5th seed, because their CONF. W-L record is worse than NO.

You sure about that?

I an not so certain about the "tie breaker" procedures outside the division, but I would think Head to Head would come first if Carolina and Cowboys were tied?
