If there is no franchise QB to protect and Chaz is ready to go, they need to put him out there and see what he's got. They definitely need to move on from Free.

Throw all the young players on and see what they've got.

The current starters aren't winning anyway.

Yep. They better start working him in now. It'll help with his progression to get some actual playing time. No sense continuing on with Free. He isn't a long term solution and he isn't very good. The goal at the moment is to treat these last 5 games like an extra preseason. Try to lose but also try to see what you have in young guys. Our pride and idiocy will keep us sticking with Free at RT and Byron Jones at CB and Cassell at QB, but if we were smart we'd be trying different things out, such as: 1) See how Green is at RT, 2) See how Collins is at RT, 3) See how Jones is at FS, 4) See how Gregory is at RDE, 5) See how Irving is at both DT spots, 6) See how Moore is at QB, 7) See how the young LBs (Hitchens, Wilson, the other guys) are. We need to start thinking about our future. See what we have in our young players and do your best to get the top pick in the draft.

At the very least, activate him so he can practice for the rest of the year.

Moving on from Charles Brown, yes. From Free to a guy with very little practice time and no camp? That's not smart player development.

Agreed.

And I'll go one more. Now that Romo's out for the year, there's no reason to keep deactivating Geoff Swaim in the interest of fairness. If the league's not ready for him that's their problem. We have to give our fans something to get excited about.

Honestly.....Doesn't my Daryl Williams pick in our 2015 mock draft contest look good now?......If he wouldn't have gotten hurt in Carolina..and ....he is here...starting by now.:D

I'm all for giving Collins snaps at RT as well if Green's not ready yet.

Exactly, put Leary back in at G. Leary right now is a better G than Free is at T. Please play the best five.

Amazing that this team has three wins and replacing Doug Free is a priority. I guess xwalker got his message across.
