This was a conversation a few minutes ago on the Ticket. Bob Sturm, after picking the Cowboys to basically make the playoffs/win 10 games for the last 3 or 4 years, took the under.

I think I'm in agreement with him. If I had money riding on it, I'd probably take the under.

It's irrelevant. They are not Super Bowl contenders this season. They need to structure the roster to peak in 2015. I don't care if keeping stopgap veterans wins an extra game. Keep all young players with upside regardless of the 2014 win/loss record.

Just focus on how good the offense can be this season. I'll put the over/under at 5th ranked offense in the league.

Under. schedule is too brutal with good defenses

I dont think it will stink like last year, and even if it does, those games are always super close

I think I'd take the under on the 5th ranked offense too. Are we going to be better than the Broncos, Patriots, Saints, Eagles, Packers, Lions, etc on offense? Man, that seems a stretch to me. I see us maybe hitting the top 10 on offense, but I fully expect us to be bottom third of the league on defense and I think that's optimistic. We could very easily be the worst defense in the league.

It depends on if you rank by yardage or points scored. The Cowboys were 5th in points scored last season.

They did very little if anything to improve a historically awful defense. "Hope" isn't going to get it done. If Romo goes down we won't even come close to 8-8. This defense can't stop anyone.
