what would you seriously have said?
were would you have said we would finish?
do you realize that we have 7 new starters on defense?
and four on offense...

I personally could not have asked for a better offseason considering who was out there and what needed to be done...one of the best in the last 10 years for any team IMO...of course that is just a prediction at this time because it will take 5 to 10 years to know it's full effect...

remember this too...there were three positions we were all stressing about after the big free agency period and the draft...IMO they are all squared away now...

Davis is going to be a pretty good player on a defense that he doesnt have to be the star in...berry o will backup either safety once he gets healthy..thank god lynn scott is gone...i dont think we are done either...i think we will trade for a safety very soon...

Pettiti is going to be a player too...for years to come if he stays healthy...i liked him from the start for some reason even though he had problems early..all rookies do...IMO the starting RT position is squared away...hope tucker can play if he gets hurt...jury is still out for now...

with adding of Peerless Price and the emergence of Patrick Crayton we are right up there in the league as far as depth at the position....4 solid receivers along with witten and jones...we are going to reak havoc all year...AS LONG AS the offensive line blocks...point is...all three of those positions BP took care of...couldnt say that last year..

It has definetly been a tremendous offseason, and I am anticipating it translating into positive results sooner rather then later. I know I'll get accused of 'drinking the Kool-Aid', but I see this team not only making the playoffs, but advancing to the NFC championship.

I like Pettiti as much as the next guy, but let's see how we feel about him after he faces someone like Strahan or Kearse. That could be an ugly day. He dominated the Jaguars backup DE.

I also think we are not done at Free Safety, and Berry-O is out for the season.

But, I totally agree with your post. I could never have asked for a better offseason. If we could just trade Henson for Simms..............before Sunday.

It has truly been an amazing off season and don't think I could have ask for more.

This year is already very enjoyable and the season has not started. This team will just get better each game as they gel.

I agree with everything that you wrote. And what if I could have told you that not only would we sign these players, but last year's division winner would have an off-field distraction that lasted all training camp and cut their best defensive tackle? Can you say "the gap has closed?" .. (those of you who can't will be able to by week 5)

I would have said that you have lost your mind and there is no Santa Claus.

I truly believe this season is the water shed for Dallas. This is the year that JJ by way of BP turns the Cowboys around. It started two years ago but this is the most significant year in the turnaround of all.

I would have said, teams don't know how to judge us because they don't know who we are.

We are not like the team of last year at all - so for the ones trying to predict us to be the same team , is nuts!
