The minute e-s-peeing put a mike in my face to ask the inevitable **** stirring questions, I would say, "Why are you guys asking Steve Smith, Hines Ward the same questions regarding their hamstrings?” “Furthermore, this is the last time I answer any of your questions especially knowing that you will simply go back to Coach Parcells to deliberately try to start a me versus him” “From now on I am quitting your petty game of he said she said, and I will let my play on the field speak for me”

I know it is a pipe dream but if the participants doesn't participate it would go a long way of exposing the hacks at ESPN for trying to create news instead of reporting it.

espn has nothing to do with the current issues of missing meetings and being late to meetings. It's his job. It's all he has to do. A lot of this crap, he brings on himself.

If you were TO...you could chase crack heads away from the utility building at Texas stadium. :p:

Regardless, that happens all of the time with every team yet only one will get the attention.

The crux of my post is it is time to shutup and play much like what Parcells is doing. This is a game that TO can't when no matter what he intends for his statements to mean it will always get viewed through negative goggles. His best bet is to tell them to go to heck and jsut play.

I hadn't heard anything about missing meetings--where did this come from? where did you hear this?

Nevermind--I just saw the other thread.

If I were TO, I would have gotten an eye full of Terry Glrn and gotten my butt in gear and realize I wasn't the only WR on this team.

I think the worst thing he did was wear the bike racing stuff and call attention to himself. I thought it was funny, but I'm not the media digging for a bone for my story. If I were, I'd be all over it just like they are.

The difference between Smith, Ward and TO on this missing time with a hamstring injury stuff is that they are set in their offense and know it. He's coming from a WCO system. He needs to learn the system.

I honestly and truly believe that the guy is hurt. I would however like to see him on the sidelines supporting the team.

I agree, and I happen to thing his situation and Vandy's are similar. Vandy came out and said that he just wants to be cautious and he doesn't want to chance it right now but will be ready to go full go tomorrow. I think we just have two veteran guys who are being careful. Like someone said, for Terrell, a hook is still a hook, a post is still a post, etc. Chemistry between he and Drew will have to develop on the fly.

How many teams have Smith and Ward been kicked off of again? How much practice time have they had with their QBs? Did their MRIs show any damage?

I don't think that's too much to ask.....even of TO.

I could care less what the media says; let Owens be himself. The Lance Armstrong thing was funny and not intended to be disrespectful. If the guy trips on the way to the practice fields it's a story these days.

The meetings thing is more of him being himself and you take the good with the bad with this guy. If it becomes a problem the Cowboys will deal with it.

I don't want Owens distracted by trying to be something he's not. We need him on the field and playing hard. Lawrence Taylor would blow off practice to go golfing, for Pete's sakes. Owens has been legitimately hurt, late to a couple of rehab meetings, and has worn a Tour de France jersey.

What's wrong with people that they have to plain obsess about a guy?

The guy invites obsession. Or did you not see the situps in his driveway stuff? He enjoys the attention, the circus. Don't ever doubt that. Want proof? Where do you do situps when you decide to work out? In the privacy of your home or do you go out in the driveway where a throng of waiting reporters can see you?

I too found the bicycle stuff funny. However, I cannot deny that he did it to make a splash. So why complain about getting wet if that's the goal from the start?

If I am the Head Coach I don't really want him over there making a spectacle of himself. Yes, I would still find it funny. It wouldn't matter. It takes focus off of the goal. I don't want my team that is practicing to be looking over there at the circus. I want them paying attention.

Look at me antics put this guy in the crosshairs. No different than Keith Davis. Wrong place at the wrong time. You don't want the bullets to fly, then don't go there.

I agree. The Tour de T.O. antics were done to draw attention to himself.

An injured player providing a circus sideshow at practice. I'm surprised Parcells didn't thump him on the noggin.

I agree with most of this. Although, I think Owens knows this system from attending meetings. Granted, it's nothing like actually practicing the system. But I think Owens and Bledsoe will develop the chemistry as the season goes on.

Also, I think Crayton was also absent from the sidelines. But I'm not positive of this. Anyone know?

I thought it was Parcell's policy not to have players on the sidelines in street clothes.

I know he does not allow them to travel if they don't dress for the game.

Perhaps, someone could clear this up about the policy for home games.

Actually, I remember seeing Keith Davis on the sideline in street clothes last night.
