the entire staff should be swept out....GONE! :banghead: Witten in not an H Back! he's not Don Warren! ....He's a TE! who actually can line up in the slot...He can't block to begin with...so why line him up 5 yards off the LOS and delay him getting out and getting open.

Sean Payton YOU FOOL!!!!

I am okay with him in the back field on occasion. I just rarely see the ball thrown to him when he is back there this year. He usually stays in to block. Slip him out to the flat and throw him the ball.

Agreed. I hate to see him line up in the backfield. Start him there? Sure, but he better motion out before the play starts.

Put Dan Cambell back there if they want someone to block.

OH lord please not Witten.........Perfect example of his terrible blocking look back at the Sf game.

Get a FB and get it over with.

I agree with you on this one, but I think you should stop wasting thread titles with your tireless "the world is ending" rants. The reason I get on here is to read opinions of true fans, not people who think everything is going to end just because we lost a frickin game most predicted we'd lose by more than what we did.

The only problem is that polite isn't a much better fullback than Witten is.

We should just trade a like 3rd or 4th round for a great blocking FB somewhere, some beast who's like 6'2 260 and can just move people out of the way for Julius.

We should draft J.D. Runnels, from OU. Dude is a beast of a blocker, and has very good hands.

I would love for us to get our hands on Matt Bernstein in the upcoming draft. Think OG + wheels + hands! The Larry Allen of Fullbacks, if you will.

You guys might as well face the idea that you are not going to have some big bruising blocking FB...it is not what Parcells wants and as long as he is here it is not going to happen.

HOWEVER...I did like the idea of Marcus Spears playing that very role on one play earlier this year and was thinking they would have brought him in for that very reason on that last drive down in the goal line situation.

But as far as having a FB on this roster that is only a big blocking FB...might as well just get that out of your head.

I also hate to see Witten lined up in the backfield. This guy is a probowl TE because of his ability to catch the ball and match up problems he creates against the opposition. Him lining up in the backfield simply decreases his effectiveness and hasn't really helped our offense.

I actually like the move every now and then. When they go into the Full House Formation, alot of times, they will send Jason Witten in motion and he will end up in the slot, and run his normal Tight End routes anyway.

During the first half of the San Francisco Game, that is how Witten got alot of his catches. Starting off in the backfield, going in motion and getting matched up with a slower linebacker. Heck, alot of times, they would not send him in motion and just throw it to him when the ball was snapped.

But as I said, they do it alot, so it is quite predictable.

Now Spears at Fullback, that is just stupid to me.
