If Jerry indeed spends good money in Free Agency then we should be fine

My reasoning and from years past. Alot of free agents wants to play in Dallas and I'm pretty sure alot of free agent this upcoming season wants to play for the Cowboys.

In the past I'm assuming when players want to play for the Cowboys, Jerry and Stephan would low ball them and they sign somewhere else.

But if true that Dallas is the free agents 1st choice we should be able to sign some really good free agents as long as Jerry does not lowball them.

If we hear that a top free agent LB for example- Quay Walker is visiting the Ranch on the first day and leaves without a deal, i would then know we would be in for another bargain bin free agency.

If Jerry wants to spend, Dallas will have a host of free agents ready to put on the star.

You are drawing the wrong conclusion. Jerry isn't going to overpay and sign big name FA's on day one. What he is saying makes pretty good sense though.

If I hadnt already lost it gambling id bet my left nut we sign Nakobe Dean. In fact there will probably be a couple of Philly guys who never leave the building.

All the top players will be gone by day 3 of Free Agency. Agents will give Jerry contract details of what they want for their FA and Jerry has to privide a counter offer, say yes or no. Agents are not gonna wait for Jerry they will go to the next team 5 minutes later.

Im pretty sure we can get players that Parker has ties to but we need impact players and most of the impact players that we need have no ties to Parker.

Decent player not a impact player. Injure prone. Might give us 16 games or 6 games

Why do you think free agents want to play in Dallas?

Hes the typical coach signing to help transition the defense. It just looks real obvious. He was pretty impactful last year, WHEN HEALTHY

In 10 games last year with the Eagles, Dean racked up 55 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection.

You're right though, between him and Overshown im not super comfortable.

To "be fine" we'd probably need to sign the best or 2nd best at every defensive position except maybe DT. That ain't happening.

Just because Jerry spends good money doesn't mean he's going to get good players.

That would require a certain level of expertise and so we return to the fundamental issue of why the Cowboys lack success.

Depends on one’s definition of good money. Keep in mind if we get Pickens done we’ve already spent a lot of money with him and Williams.

Well we have 2 first rnd picks too. Ideally if we could add a top 3 player at 3 positions that aren’t likly to be there in first your pretty covered.

Just want the team upgraded in FA. Also want a good draft. I'll think Dallas can have a good season if they upgrade via FA.. If not i dont expect a good season.

so the reverse of Quinn, we have players follow a coach here ;)

It would be a damn good start. Maybe even Top 5 at a couple spots. Here I go again... Wishing... Ugh. Haha!

It can be done. Will Jerry do it? Maybe I’ve drank the koolaid but I think Jerry is gonna add some talent for once this year. Not a bunch of guys but 2-3 guys

Seems like a lot of free agents want to play here.
Me thinks it's a negotiation ploy.
Of course, Jerry being cheap is a factor as well.
