Just curious what all of the "Get rid of Romo" folks' plan is for the quarterback position. Obviously we aren't trading for Tom Brady (who also looked horrible yesterday) but I'm curious to hear all of the armchair GM plans.

Discuss.

Premature conversation.

First (hopefully) will come Tony's chance with real coaches next season. 3 years of this team was wasted on Wade, Jason & the keystone coaches Jerruh assembled.

There is no other QB available at this time, our season will be based mostly on Romo's on-field gambling, with the given defensive breakdowns & obligatory mistakes tossed in for good measure.

I love the way Jacory Harris from the U is looking right now... He adds 20 more lbs and keeps progressing, I'd love to see him in a Dallas Cowboys uniform.

If Romo doesn't take us to the playoffs and win then it will be YEARS before we have another chance, imo. While I agree we always have to be looking to the future, Romo is here now and is our best hope for a winning season. I'm not anywhere near ready to give up on him. I have given up on the coaching staff though but I have hope that Romo can play past the coaching staff and win a playoff game.

Another half of jittery feet and poor decision making and I'm willing to see what Kitna can bring...can't be any worse than 3 INTs with a pick 6. :bang2:

he had plenty of those games for the last 2 teams he was with but you can also add 3-5 sacks to go with them. Wanting to see Kinta is just slightly better then wanting to see Brad Johnson

I'd take Matt Ryan in a heartbeat. Mark Sanchez would be a close second.

And the Falcons and Jets are going to trade those QBs to us???

This thread is about being realistic, not living in a fantasy world. The OP asked who REALISTICALLY could replace Romo right now???

The answer is nobody. Romo gives us our best chance to win right now.

Really, 'cus I failed to see that in the OP? Guess I don't use the special read between the lines glasses you have?

You can debate the wording of the OP all you want but that still doesn't change the fact that Romo is our best chance to win now and for at least the next few years. The correct answer to "if not Romo, who?", is nobody.

Get Tony some WRs and see what he does... Jerryland did the same to TROY AIKMAN!

No Wideouts are good enough for Jerryland unless they make sportscenter highlights!

This is the OP, anybody with basic reading skills can see that he is asking what the plan is for the QB position if we get rid of Romo. He states "obviously we are not trading for Brady", which means he is talking about REALISTIC options and not who is on a wish list.

So lets hear your plan, who is going to replace Romo next week against the Panthers???

Considering our record in Dec w/ him, coupled w/ his postseason production, that's not terribly comforting.

I never mentioned anything about replacing him, I simply stated who I'd take in place of him. How or if that could come to fruition, is for much busier minds than mine.

I hear ya, its all good.

I just read that our defense is ranked 30th in the league and is giving up over 400 yards a game. If this continues, it really doesnt matter who plays QB.

Hell of a job your doing with the defense Wade, hell of a job.

Getting rid of Romo is not the answer, because a lot of people are right in that there are few who are better. Making Romo and the staff understand that Romo is a bus driver QB (at least for now), that is the key. That happens and this offense is unstoppable.
