about kneeling. Including the president who rather blame Puerto Rico for their debt, instead of doing something to help the 3.5 millions American citizens suffering without food, water, and the basic things that every person needs to function everyday. Like a song/fabric. matters more to Trump and some of his supporters than the actual lives of human beings in the time of crisis. Where they are begging for help.

A lot of POC happen to live in Puerto Rico and most of the island is without power, but I bet a lot of people are tweeting more in their outrage about the NFL protests, than they are in concerns for people in Puerto Rico. And the fact that the needs of so many POC are being ignored is why protests are happening, because of un equal treatment.

I would say that the true pride in the National Anthem would be to show attention to American Citizens in Crisis over standing for the Anthem.

I agree with you, but are you really surprised? When in his entire life has Donald Trump shown an ounce of humanity or compassion? This is the new normal.

I have this stunning ability to be concerned about multiple things simultaneously at various levels.

FEMA is there and efforts to bring aid have begun. Being it's an island and terrible conditions were present for an extended period of time, logistics are more challenging.

Yup. I'm not a Trump fan and didn't vote for him. But Trump is explaining the difficulties for the issues with the damage to Puerto Rico. It's an impossible task to expect that the recovery effort would be in full effect at this time.

Sorry to hear that. I love Puerto Rico.

There is a hotel/casino there that I've stayed at a few of times. There's a cuban food restaurant there that had some of the best food ever. We played golf along the shoreline which was cool. It's been a few years since I've been, but it's a really cool place.

I believe The US Army is there providing aid.

They are.

Sadly, PR was whacked by Maria. It's going to take a long time to get that place back to normal. Like others have said, it gets tougher when the place is an island far from the continental mainland. Add in the weird **** going on with FEMA/FAA/whatever other agency, flights to deliver aid to PR has been very limited.

US is sending aid and help to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Island both places devastated by this past storm. Not really sure what you are upset about. I think most American are willing to send aid out of their own pocket as well as we do so often.

I think that the president should put less effort into attacking NFL players and anyone who speaks out against them. And more into addressing the real issues that face the American people. He puts a lot of his emotions into things issues which are small compared to the bigger picture in America.

And I suggest that all of the effort put into boycotting the NFL be put into helping out the veterans suffering with homeless/ptsd. All of those who say that they won't be watching NFL games or giving their money to the NFL could instead use their time/money to help the veterans in need. Because I have seen a lot of anger in saying that the NFL will be boycotted because of the disrespect to the flag/Anthem and the veterans. I hope that as big of an movement is put into helping out homeless veterans in need, as it is in boycotting the NFL and it's sponsors.

and he has, We have dealt with storms hitting the US here in Texas as well as Florida, the earthquake in Mexico and now the disaster in Puerto Rico/Virgin Island. Giving a view on a social issue is his views regardless if you agree with him or disagree with him but I don't see where that has prevented him and the US in general of dealing with other issues including N. Korea.
