If Orton takes us deep into the Playoffs is there a qb controversy in 14?

Would you want to see what Orton could do for a full season if he takes this team to the Super Bowl? I have a strange feeling that Kyle Orton is about to do something special in the next month.

I can see the headlines now: "Manziel or Orton? Just kidding..."

All I want is for this team to win a Super Bowl. Who cares who gets us there?

I am absolutely a fan of Tony Romo, but no player is bigger than the Dallas Cowboys. If Orton somehow provides Dallas with the success it's been lacking, then I don't care if it results in a QB controversy. (It seems to me that a lot of people would rather be right about their faith in Romo or their faith in Orton than win.)

Obviously, I don't think Orton will lead Dallas to the Super Bowl, but not because I believe Orton is a bad quarterback. Rather, it's because I believe Dallas can't provide enough on defense to support any QB.

There will be no controversy just go back and watch his play in the preseason and if you honestly believe he's gonna "win a couple playoff games" then you my friend are working on a good buzz this evening. In the Zona game he didn't even look for a receiver he just slings it into triple coverage and gets picked. In his mop up duty in Chicago he should've thrown 2 picks but thanks to Chris Conte who has stone hands he was able to lead us to a junk time td.

At the very least, It puts ALOT of pressure on T. Romo next year.......and if he isn't playing well, or we are losing, it will loom over him, the coach, the fans and even the owner..... Kyle Big Game took us to the NFCCG, ...super Bowl?

I think Cowboys Nation respects , craves, desperately desires nothing but results anymore... As much as we love Romo, we like playoff wins better.....

Honestly, lets say somehow we make the NFC championship game with Kyle Orton. How do we win? Is the offense avg more than 40 pts in these games? Because honestly they would have to in order for us to be able to win with this defense. And if thats the case then yes I could see a QB controversy because that means Kyle Orton will have had some fantastic playoff games.

But if we get to the NFC championship by running 25+ times, averaging 2 takeaways each game, and holding opponents to under 20 pts a game. Then no, I would not see a qb controversy, more of a play calling controversy.

Yeah, I thought it was one pick, but I mentioned that before. Orton combined with a Garrett offense should make for good times.

My question to you guys that think Romo is the fault of all our problems. If we lose this game will it be all on Orton or will the defense get the blame?

We will see his Murray does without the threat of Romo passing from the pocket. Wondering if Eagles gonna test Orton early as well.

Depends on how Orton plays. But I suspect Orton, needs a lot of help. From the defense, OL, etc etc.....
He isn't the kind of guy that "lifts"teams.....but with good pieces and play around him. He can get it done....

But that's me and my "guesses". ......watch him be lights out , despite bad D and other bad play...

The d hasn't had good pieces or play for some time.

No, they haven't.......all season really, that's why I fully expect a blowout.

But. I'll be ready. I'll be psyched up. I'll be interested to see.........if they can. But, even against in the first Philly game, They got lucky. Foles had receivers open. He just missed them. And then Barkley came in.......3rd option for the eagles.

So your saying we will have a potential QB controversy? Good luck with that dream. I click on all these threads. Came home from the party and got to get some football fix. Give a brother a break.

I'm not saying anything. I actually agree, but if you don't want to read something, don't click on it.
