Did you watch the GB vs Chi game on Monday night? GB sure gave it their best shot and they had absolutely nothing to play for.

This is Philly's superbowl and world series and Stanley Cup all wrapped up in one. Flea flickers, fake punts, all out blitzes are coming.

Cowboys better be ready for the game, cause im scare they will lay down if they where to find out that Phlly has nothing to fight for and they take it lightly.

No doubt about it. It may even make the Eagles more dangerous because they will pull out all of the stops to win with nothing to play for. At the same time it could be beneficial for Dallas. I think the Cowboys could break them easier if they're eliminated. I don't know how well anyone else remembers that night game against the Rams we had in 2005 after we were eliminated. The Cowboys came out like gangbusters, but as soon as the Rams started playing football too, the Cowboys packed it in. I think we could see something like that if the Cowboys took control early if the Eagles were eliminated.

I was at that game and remember it quite well. We watched Philly and Washington on the Jumbotron. Kinda crappy knowing we were eliminated before kickoff.

All things our coaching staff will be totally unprepared for I am sure. Except maybe the all out blitzes, of course that doesn't mean we will be able to pick them up.

....do they still give Dallas their best shot?

I tend to think so, but if such is the case, might be a little advantage for Dallas if Philly has nothing to play for...

Any thoughts?

The mere fact that its Dallas is all the reason they need to be fired up. Remember the Rams froma few years ago? That team was done, hadn't played a good game all season, and suddenly they play lights out against Dallas in the final game of the season. Sounds kinda familiar, like this year's Rams team.

Human nature is such that they probably wouldn't.

If the game is meaningless for them, after they've prepared all week as though it is important, it would be a huge let down for them. Doesn't mean they won't give Dallas a tough go, but as someone said earlier, especially if they get down early, they'll probably fold.

For Philadelphia, it is not only a fight to extend their season, but to extend the McNabb/Reid Era.

There is a real possibility that this is the last time you see Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb in Philadelphia.

I believe they will be eliminated at kickoff, but they will play hard.

The Eagles will pull out all stops. Look for flea flicker, fake FG, 4th down attempts, especially if they are out of it.

Exactly, Reid and McNabb are on the hot seat in Philly, the COWBOYS better come ready to play for 60MINUTES, not just one TD and go to the bench. The loser of this game is out of the playoffs and could have a new head coach next year. So lets hope Wade and Garrett don't get out coached again. I dont want Garrett as the New HC, wouldn't mind Wade leaving tho.

please don't go there, I just had a vison of Wade giving his best "aw shucks, no reason for both team's seasons to end today" reasoning. :)

Furthermore...if Dallas was eliminated from the playoffs by game time, there's an awfully lot of people here that would think and hope Dallas shouldn't give their best just to achieve a better draft position.
