Notice I didn't say Romo was in the same category as those other QB. I said this team would have been lucky to win 6 games without him, a point with which you clearly disagreed.

I just want to know if that info about 2010 I provided brings you any closer to the middle.

Actually you'll see in my post that I acknowledge that Romo needs more TO's from the defense for this team to be more successful.

But TO's from the "D" have nothing to do with the int he threw in the Washington game along with other mishaps in elimination games.

I saw Aaron Rodgers lose a playoff game to Arizona when the Card went on to the SB. He threw for over 400 yards, 4 tds an int and a fumble (which lost them the game) but I came away from that game saying "man even though they lost, Rodgers was balling, it wasn't his fault. You want to know why? Because in the biggest game of the season he elevated his play from a statistical standpoint.

Tony Romo's stats in elimination games dwindle instead of increasing, the only stat that increases is the turnovers. When the stage gets biggest his game gets smallest, unlike Eli who's probably the opposite or Aikman who didn't have gaudy stats but when the money was on the line he played biggest.

This may have something to do with his playing at Eastern Illinois and now playing for America's Team but what ever it is we need the Romo that plays against the Bucs and the Bills in September to come to play in December and January when we need him most.

If I went closer to the middle then I would be saying that Romo's a top 15 qb or I'd be saying that he is mediocre and I'm clearly saying that he's a really good qb.

Not hurt at all, guys like you want to see Tony and say "Tony I always believed in you even when no one else did, I never doubted you" (like a girl who just met Justin Bieber for the first time).

Do you think these guys really care one bit about a fan that's in his corner or not? If you ever get to meet Romo you'll probably tell him that you're his number 1 fan, and you'll really mean it. The problem is the next fan, standing in line right behind you, will tell him the same thing and to Tony you're both the same.

You sound like a stan. lol

*Yawn*

I don't go around praising or dissing a man, constantly.

Do you think Romo really cares if you hate him or not?

You sound bitter, why because he is able to play football and makes millions while you work 9-5, job to job? It's ok man

You hate on him over the net, behind his back. Then when you see him, you probably pull on his jock strap harder than a real fan.

Go in the bathroom, and cry in the pillow some more like a female over the fact Romo is our QB, yeah trust me, that will get Jerry's attention.

yea, if he got a compound fracture people would love him.

Not that he gets hurt soon, but we win a SB soon so all the haters will be like Miles Austin and pull a hammy jumping BACK on the Romo bandwagon.

Why is just winning not the answer here?

Why must there be some Petri dish culture that has to make up absurd conditions to get this guy respect?

How desperate are you people?

The very same people who rush to his defense with idiotic threads such as this are the very self-same people who railed on McNabb because he didn't win. Or the very same people who castigate Vick. Whined that Eli wins because of defense. Think and say Rapesmysister cheats to get his rings with the refs in his pocket.Blamed Bledsoe. The list is endless.

RG3 will be the next contestant on, "Your Career Sucks Because We Envy You."

Then you come up with one of the most lame threads, and people actually respond and give their version of how to get this guy respect.

The Rodney Dangerfield of NFL quarterbacks. He needs to wear a wrinkled suit and grow a bulbous nose and googly eyes.

"Hey, I don't get no respect. I threw TD pass to Ogletree and he threw it back. Ewwww."

Just how sad are you people?

Nope. Woudln't help. He's been injuried before and this team was terrible for the first couple games without him. Then Jerry fired Wade and the team stepped up because of that so there are people who forget that fact and try and make it out like this team was just as good without him. They forget without the Wade firing wake up all how pitiful this team was against Tennessee and Greenbay without Romo.

Call me crazy but sometimes I wish Romo would have an injury that takes him out for 10+ games. It's not that I hate Romo its just the fact that he is under appreciated. I am sick of football fans and mostly Cowboys fans hate on our guy. It's like no one remembers the Quincy Carter, Drew Blesoe, Vinny Testaverde and Chad Hutchinson era.

If Romo gets injured and we go 2-8 in a 10 game stand would people appreciate him more? When our offensive is getting barley 200 yards a game and touchdown get "really" scarce, would people start to realize what he means to our team. They say absence makes the heart grows founder so if Romo got injured do you think he'd gain more respect?

if Matt Schaub got injured, would he get more respect?
if Phillip rivers got injured would he get more respect?
if Wilson got injured would he get more respect?
if Brees got injured would he get more respect?

come on, how many teams are really deep at the QB position? of course tony romo is key to dallas success. but I can name you 28 other teams that are in the same boat!!!

I'm sure it was mentioned but Romo missed 10 games in 2010 and the Cowboys were pretty much already done at 1-5 while he was the QB. The best football the Cowboys played that season was with Jon Kitna at QB. The only way Romo is ever going to gain more respect is to start playing his best football when it matters most. Nothing he does during the regular season is going to change the perception the fans and media have of him.

Romo has lost more games than he's won the past 3 years and the Cowboys have missed the playoffs each of those 3 seasons. QB's are judged by their won/loss record and how they perform in the postseason. It's probably going to take a championship to change the perception that many have of Romo.

Funny thing about Aikman, in the playoffs his worst games were wildcard games...yet he absolutely turned it on when in the Conference Championship Games and in the Super Bowl.

The difference is that Aikman played on a dynasty team, a team that most likely we will never see again from the Cowboys. And that is because of Romo. Once he is gone, then the rebuilding can begin.

I will NEVER say this again lol...but Romo may be like Aikman in that regard, meaning he may be the type of QB who may turn it on if he ever gets to a Conference Championship Game and the Super Bowl...with the wildcard and divisional rounds giving him more problems for whatever reason. If he can get paired with a team that has the talent and ability to "cover" for him during his less-than-stellar moments early in the playoffs, he may reward them for it if they get to the final two games of the year.

That's mainly because his wildcard teams weren't nearly as good as his teams that made it to Conference Championships and SB's.
