I will NEVER say this again lol...but Romo may be like Aikman in that regard, meaning he may be the type of QB who may turn it on if he ever gets to a Conference Championship Game and the Super Bowl...with the wildcard and divisional rounds giving him more problems for whatever reason. If he can get paired with a team that has the talent and ability to "cover" for him during his less-than-stellar moments early in the playoffs, he may reward them for it if they get to the final two games of the year.

But, don't forget that Romo and the team could lose those final two games. The legacy of the Romo will never be told until he is gone. Yet, some are already writing him off already as a loser.

If I were Jerry, I would trade Romo.

No team would want a QB who constantly holds back a 12-4 team by choking and turning them into an 8-8 team.
Romo is the reason for the Cowboys lack of success in other positions (RB/O-Line/Defense), and other teams see that so they wouldn't want him. He's just some scrub who constantly pads his stats against one of the worst divisions every year. Also, if Jerry traded Romo to another team, we'd probably end up having to give them a first round pick as well just so they'd take him.

The Cowboys would be more like a 4-12 team without Romo and Jerry knows it that's why he signed him to the contract he did. The defense has been terrible the past 3 years as has been the coaching and the Cowboys have had no running game so most of the QB's in the league would have their work cut out trying to win games in Dallas. Romo is capable of playing as good as any QB in the league but the issue with him is he's been terrible in elimination games.

He folds in the games that matter most but he's so productive and such a playmaker during the regular season that the Cowboys have no choice but to ride with him and hope that someday he'll get over the hump and play his best football when it really matters.

On average Romo chokes in 2 games per season so if they were a 12-4 team they would still be a 12-4 team with his 2 choke jobs. The Cowboys have the talent and the QB to go 12-4 but not the coaching or the defense which is why they keep ending up 8-8.

How deep into the playoffs do you expect a QB to carry a 4-12 team?

Based off what Romo has done during the regular season I expect him to play to the same level when the games matter most. The Cowboys have 12-4 talent but 4-12 coaching that's been the biggest issue with the team. Several games have been lost due to poor coaching decisions from the sidelines.

The fact Romo got signed to a $108 million deal while Ryan got fired and Garrett got stripped of his play calling duties tells you where Jerry thinks the biggest issues are with the team.
