IF Romo works out... how long does Bill stay?

Will he just finish out the contract?
We he extend?

It wouldnt make sense to leave after developing a HOME GROWN successful QB

You would think he would sign a new 3 year deal or something?

Hard to say I'm sure BP will once again take some time off after the season to think about it. I hope he stays but I could clearly understand if he didn't. This is a tough job he has in a city that is tough to please.

next year would probably be it... i'm mostly expecting him back barring a complete collapse by our team.

The reason I bring this up is because I believe he hand picked Pennington with the Jets. I feel that he left before Pennington could get what he needed from him.

There's much spin on this already. Id say most of us think that even Bill doesnt know right now what he will do after this season ends. In February, we'll all know.

Bill did comment in a press conference the other day that they should not get the hearse out because he isn't ready to ride in it. I took that to mean he wasn't ready to quit just yet. He also commented that he would take another two years of the stuff he's been through just to feel like he felt Sunday night. My gut feeling is that if the team continues to improve that he will stay around as long as he is physically able to do it.

The comment had more to do with him not throwing this season away just because he promoted Romo. I don't think it goes beyond that.

Bill said something the other night at his PC after the game that I thought was very telling. He called the players "my kids" .. now you dont' let someone else raise your kids. I think he has a special feeling about this team and if he thinks that they are close to achieving the big prize next year, he will be back,, and may bring Bledsoe back with him as the Vet back up.. it could happen.

It would take 2 to tango and no way Bledsoe would come back here as a backup. He's consistently said that since he came here.

I would not be suprised to see Bill return. I think Houston will get a major snow fall before Bledsoe returns as a backup.

We seem to have short term memory. BP has bolted more than once.

Yeah I am sure Drew wants to win another SB as a backup.. an innocent standbyer

It's amazing what one solid game will do for a guys career.

Two weeks ago I would have predicted Parcells to leave after this season. I imagine this would still be the case if you guys had gone on to lose @ Carolina. But now he actually sounds like he's having fun again. He doesn't have that same mad look of despair in his eyes. I'd almost go so far as to say he has a bit of swagger now and I'd be very surprised if he didn't stay at least one more year. He built your defense and I'm sure he'll want to ride Romo for at least a full season.

Now I think it'll be Gibbs who hangs it up after this season. Especially if we continue sucking, which is very likely.

People have a tendency to rethink things when their options are limited. I am not sure what his options are at this point. I doubt there will be many teams beating his door down to acquire him as a starter.

I think if there are no other options then he will retire. He has 14 years in the league and has made a good chunk of change. I don't see Drew as the type who is just going to hang on for a pay check
