It'll go to conference record. I don't know the records but 3 of our 4 losses are in the NFC, so they probably got us.

Again Dallas must win out, I think our strength of schedule will come to our favor. The NFC West is pretty pathetic and we've beaten Arizona, didn't they play Seattle close?

They have a better division record then we do and would always be ahead of us if we have same record. That's why we gotta root and hope the Broncos beat them tonite in Denver. That lose would leave Seattle with a 7-5 record & set us up as the #2 see if we beat NO in Dallas next week.

BTW: With a 2 game lead on the Giants, I think we gotta win 3 of the remaining 4 games (or combination of Giants losses) to win NFC East division title & beating NO next week would be a great start for us.

If we both win out, we will both have 9-3 conference records. Then, it goes to common games Seattle will be 5-0 we will be 4-1. Seattle gets the bye.

We need them to lose to somebody. Hopefully tonight.

That Washington loss continues to linger, a six game win streak otherwise!

It doesn't come down to division record when the teams are in different divisions. It's an invalid comparison. It's conference record, then common games.

Don't forget that Seattle plays S.D. on dec. 24. If they lose tonight and on the 24th, the Cowboys will be in great shape if they beat N.O. and only lose 1 game after that.

I know it sucks. And I HATEEEEEE the stupid Commanders, but I think the loss was a good thing because it continues to keep us grounded. I'm sure that whenever the players wanna go off and get big-headed, Parcells comes in and says we lost to the 4-8 Commanders and tells them to marinate on that. I think the loss will only continue to help us in the sense that it will prevent us from thinking we are invinceable.

My AIM away message...in case anyone cares:

Commanders' fans this week:
"Well, if 3 home teams lose and then the Niners and Cowboys team planes crash on the way home, and then the QB of the Rams catches gangrene, and the Eagles forget they have a game tomorrow and then the craziest of all things happen and...we win...well, then we still have a small chance to make the playoffs...so I wouldn't talk **** just yet." HTTR!

Denver looks ok tonight. I think they have a good chance in this game. They're already up 3-0

Do they have the tie breaker over us for the #2 seed ?
We don't play them head to head. So that tie breaker is out the window.

In the Conference we are 5-3, they are 6-3. If we both win out to remain tied in record it would go to strength of schedule.

As of right now this is how the strength of schedules fall.

Seattle...(.427)

Dallas...(.444)

Tiebreaker to Dallas. Critical for us to protect our turf and beat the Saints next week.

I totally agree. We MUST get the job done at home. This is what home field advantage is all about.

Here are the remaining schedules for the 8-4 NFC teams and the record of the teams they face. I'm adding Seattle as if they beat the Broncos tonight.

Dallas

vs. Saints, 8-4
@ Falcons, 6-6
vs. Eagles, 5-7 (after they lose to Carolina :D )
vs. Lions, 2-10

Saints

@ Cowboys, 8-4
vs. Commanders, 4-8
@ Giants, 6-6
vs. Panthers, 7-5 (after they beat Philly :D )

Seattle

@ Cardinals, 3-9
vs. 49ers, 5-7
vs. Chargers, 10-2
@ Buccaneers, 3-9

Denver is helping us out right now. They're up on Seattle 10-0.

Denver is up 10-0 on Seattle and they are getting the ball back right now from a punt.

We will control our own fate if Denver holds on tonight. That's a very very good opportunity for us considering our toughest remaining game (NO) is at home.

Exactly why I posted the schedules. It is nice to have total control of our destiny.
