They been talking about going to the 12 package all offseason..

Yes, and then went ahead and took another TE in the 2nd round. Doesn't exactly speak volumes for Hanna does it? The love for Hanna around here is getting out of hand.

Either way I doubt San Fran would be willing to give up another pick on a WR. They took Jenkins in the 1st last year, Patton in the 4th this year, and Vance McDonald, a receiving TE, in the 2nd this year. Add in Boldin, Davis, and Manningham and I really don't think they will be hurting for receiving options.

It won't happen because Jerry signed Romo to win now. Dallas is 'all chips in' for next three years.

I would from an purely hypothetical standpoint, but the acceleration of dead money would make it nearly impossible to trade Austin.

you cant be serious.... you would be losing a legit #2 target with NO ONE to take his place. if think harris is a 2 you are delusional. could williams become a 2 eventually, possibly. even with bad hamstrings miles still played what.. 15 games last season and racked up nearly 950 yards and 6tds. when he is right he makes our offense dynamic. you can say that about any other receiver behind austin and bryant. there will be a time to replace austin but it isnt this season.

It's GREAT. San Fran GETS better. Dallas GETS worse. Ya, let's do this trade now!!!! Let's help San Fran any way we can.

Yea i'm sort of lost on how we even win trading Miles for a 2nd round pick. If healthy he means more to this team than a 2nd round pick and the 9ers who many have in the Super Bowl or atleast as a contender has a weakness on offense and that's receiver. Makes no sense unless you are a 49ers fan.

Pretty much what I think too. Miles has been disappointing(injury wise) in the last couple of years but this team can't afford to lose our #2 WR. Lets say they did that trade and Dez goes down for a few games, then what? We have a bunch of slot receivers playing the outsides. I am not sure Harris can play the outside every play just yet. Williams is a rookie and I don't expect much from him this season.

If this team is serious about winning now, then say no to trading Miles and lets give this thing a run and hope he stays healthy.

I'm torn on this one.. I don't want to make SF better.. But if they offer a 2nd I might be swayed.. Its not like we're gonna challenge them in the near future anyway.. And Crabtree will be out for a while...

Says who? Yeah, they're better...on paper...right now...in May. Can we get to the season at least before we give up on our team?

SF added Boldin in the offseason and drafted a stud WR as well...plus they have two other young WRs that they like. In other words, they may be better off right now than they were at this time last year at WR.

Looks like Hanna and Escobar will be Taking balls away from Austin.. To Many targets..

Again, one ROOKIE and one pretty inexperienced TE you're counting on to replace, when healthy, a top notch #2, bordeline #1 WR. I realize most have given up that Austin will ever remain healthy, but I for one want to see if this year can be different.

All of his prorated restructure bonuses would accelerate into this year's cap. That amount appears to be about 10M.

So what you're saying is that we'd take a 10M hit on our cap this year AND not have Austin? Pretty much what I'd thought. Thanks for the numbers.

Fans value him so little that they think missing him this year won't be a problem, but at the same time believe that he's worth a 2nd rounder to SF.

Too good to be true. Austin isn't worth a second rounder in any universe. Would be nice if he were.

You need 3 good TE's to run that offense, we only had 2. The drafting of another TE had more to do about the offense we want to run.

Austin isn't a 1. He was never a 1. They overreacted and paid him like one but he's not.

Dez Bryant is a 1. Austin can be a nice 2 when he's healthy but he's not worth the contract, he's got injury issues and the team would be best served long term to move him now.

Yes, it would be approximately a 10M cap hit this year which would put them over the cap.
