I think the quickest fix for Jerry is Lovie or Gruden.

I just want to see something different and entertaining. The Cowboys are a chore to watch these days. I'd rather take a nap then sit through a game.

I will pass on lovie and gruden personally. With Jerry over the top of them I think they are no better than Garrett.

If the Cowboys don't win their division, I don't see how Jerry could retain Garrett. It's one thing to be bad. It another thing entirely to be stale. Stale means people lose interest. It means they stop going to games and buying stuff. It means nobody wants to hear about the Cowboys because they're boring. Retaining Garrett after a fourth consecutive non-playoff season is stale.

These kinds of posts dont bother me- in fact I like them...but I know some people here get really irked at how many different ways people can form a post about Garrett being canned.

My story remains the same- 2 things have to happen IMO for Garrett to get canned.

1. cowboys go 1-5 in their last 6 games
2. giants win division after starting 0-6.

If both of these things happen, it'll be more than Jerry can take. If only one or neither of these things happen...Jason is back with 2 new coordinators. Jerry will tell us " we're real close now". *wink*

I think Garrett stays.

Jerry knew when he hired a new D-Coordinator that it might take a season to get the defense together.

The offense got worse under Callahan than it ever was under Garrett. If it does not improve, then I think Callahan gets the blame.

Summary:

Defense fails: Jerry attributes it to new scheme and injuries.

Offense fails: Jerry blames Callahan.

The biggest question will be if the new OC brings his own scheme or if they stay with Garrett's scheme.

There's absolutely no way Garrett will be here next year if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs.

Yea, that would be like poking the fan base in the eye..................no playoffs after 3.5 years being head coach and he is coming back for yet another try.................Not even Jerry has the balls to make that statement.

If a lot of people bet the Giants -2.5 (assuming they will since 3.0 is the key number), Vegas will adjust to try to get some money on Dallas.

This week will be textbook coughlin.

The ny media will kick the team and the fans into a frenzy with the Jerry said ny players were faking injuries stuff, coughlin will preach getting even with us and sticking it to Jerry.

They are going to beat us bad. Their defensive line should have their way with us and our linebackers are beyond poor. We are going to have to sit and watch Brandon Jacobs dance in the end zone after he runs over Simms or bosworth.

This thing is Taylor made for the way the giants as an organization approach football and it is the exact situation our organization fails in.
