If the Eagles are done with Wentz, the Cowboys need to get him

Since the coaching exodus from Philadelphia after their Super Bowl win, Carson Wentz has had to carry an offense that looked more like an orthopedic wing from a Philadelphia sports hospital.
But he's a solid star and has carried the Eagles offense despite missing so much of his offensive line, receiving corps, and coaching.
He proved that last season, winning the NFC East over Dak and the Cowboys, despite Dak Prescott having all of his weapons and the lead in the division when they faced.
He has done more with less than Dak ever dared to do.
Wentz will be a solid addition to the Cowboys and allow Dak to peddle his skills elsewhere as a free agent.
That is, if Wentz and the Eagles really do part ways.

The only way the Eagles can move on from Wentz and not eat massive dead cap for 2 years is to trade him, either before June 1st or after.
If they trade him prior to June 1st, they'll eat 33mil but save 800k. If it's post, it'll be 9mil dead this year and 25mil next year.
But it's better than cutting him post june first and getting a 34mil cap hit in 2021 and a 25mil cap hit in 2022.Cut pre June 1st means a 59mil dead cap all in 2021.

Otherwords, if they want to move on at all costs it'll be a trade, and I highly doubt they consider trading him to a division rival. Also would be a huge moot point for Dallas as by then their QB spot wil be solved one way or another

Not to mention they are 65mil over the projected 2021 cap as is.
