There are people on this forum that think Diggs is worth a first round pick via trade?
Delulu…
Delulu…
May be on to somethingMaybe that's the idea (lol).......from Digg's perspective.
** Maybe he got word ( from his agent) that the Cowboys were planning to trade him before the deadline, especially to an undesirable team
** An injury would sink his value
** The Cowboys would have 3 options....
* wait until he's healthy ( after the deadline) and play/keep him but I am 100% confident that once they get medical clearance, they will NOT trust him on the field again.
* wait until he's healthy and deactivate him for each of the remaining games of the season. (See Jon Gruden and Keyshawn Johnson)
* wait until he's healthy and release him
He has no value. NoneHe's still our best corner and elite when heakthy. If they want to trade him, raise his value first. Let him play more man for a few games and get a few picks. He's worth a 1st at his best. It looks like emotion is clouding judgement. Let him shine to remind the league what he's worth.
Say what?????? Let him play man???????? The dude is faking home injuries, so how do you expect him to play man when his fake injuries won't allow him to play?????????? Trade him for nothing, just get out from underneath his ridiculous salary. He's still our best corner and elite when heakthy. If they want to trade him, raise his value first. No team would give the Cowboys any more than a 6th/7th for him. He's worth a 1st at his best.
No interest - we might get a 6th for our 7th next year as additional compensation, at best. Stop thinking that other teams are stupid. This isn't the 70sLike I said, "If" multiple teams are interested(I don't care what decade it is), someone would trade for him.
Let's break this down
1. Elite, he's elite at what? He once was, his poor tackling/effort causes him NOT to be on this level
2. Trade- Can't get effort out of him now with him being on the IR for 4 weeks, he is what he is, the team will get what they get
3. He's not worth a first round pick, nobody on our defense is worth a 1st round pick, we have to be more realistic and realize he may only get us a 5-7th round pick, anything less than that, the nfl team may need to be "tested"
4. No emotion, just seems that what he's going through has the writing on the wall, if it were something not so suspect, we'd know what had happened by now, but we don't, so it's seemingly very suspect
Yep and i'd add that he realises he's probably getting cut before next season and he doesnt want his next contract getting damaged by a year playing a zonal system he obviously cant play.Maybe that's the idea (lol).......from Digg's perspective.

He is not getting traded this year. He is on IR and the Cowboys are trying rest and therapy to get him healthy. If that doesn't work he made need another surgery on his knee. BTW, this is the knee of his first injury, not the most recent 1.He will get traded for a 7th that can become a 5th. Otherwise, he's getting cut next year.
Wisely? No. They have to pay him no matter what. This is strictly salary related, not a choice. He is not getting traded this year. But who would want to trade for a player who will miss the next 4 games not knowing if he will need season ending knee surgery? The Cowboys are wisely waiting this one out to see how he comes out of this. I still think if given the proper rest and treatment he will play again. I also think in a year he could get back to being something near what he once was. Being patient is the smart move here.
Not tradeable.Say what?????? Let him play man???????? The dude is faking home injuries, so how do you expect him to play man when his fake injuries won't allow him to play?????????? Trade him for nothing, just get out from underneath his ridiculous salary.
Diggs benefited from Micah. Plain and simple.Classic one year wonder who got paid then checked out. I don't think there's much of a market for player's like that anymore, but perhaps there's a sucker who will part with a 7th rounder.
The admission bar is low here. lolThere are people on this forum that think Diggs is worth a first round pick via trade?

They can't play him to showcase anything good or bad. He's still our best corner and elite when heakthy. If they want to trade him, raise his value first. Maybe a future 7th round pick? He's still our best corner and elite when heakthy. If they want to trade him, raise his value first. Let him play more man for a few games and get a few picks. He's worth a 1st at his best. It looks like emotion is clouding judgement. Let him shine to remind the league what he's worth.
Come now. The idea that he is elite is comical. I can't even get behind him being our best corner as I think Bland is much better, but the elite part I just can't even let slide. With all due respect, that's just borderline (well, not even borderline) ridiculous. He's still our best corner and elite when heakthy. If they want to trade him, raise his value first. Let him play more man for a few games and get a few picks. He's worth a 1st at his best. It looks like emotion is clouding judgement. Let him shine to remind the league what he's worth.
I would be happy with a 6th or a 7th.No interest - we might get a 6th for our 7th next year as additional compensation, at best. Stop thinking that other teams are stupid. This isn't the 70s
His salary says we'd hv to give up a pick to get someone to take him.Maybe a future 7th round pick?
This player has really cratered his value.
Yeah, giving one up to get rid of him.I would be happy with a 6th or a 7th.
