If they want to trade Diggs

Maybe that's the idea (lol).......from Digg's perspective.
** Maybe he got word ( from his agent) that the Cowboys were planning to trade him before the deadline, especially to an undesirable team
** An injury would sink his value
** The Cowboys would have 3 options....
* wait until he's healthy ( after the deadline) and play/keep him but I am 100% confident that once they get medical clearance, they will NOT trust him on the field again.
* wait until he's healthy and deactivate him for each of the remaining games of the season. (See Jon Gruden and Keyshawn Johnson)
* wait until he's healthy and release him
May be on to something

He's still our best corner and elite when heakthy. If they want to trade him, raise his value first. Let him play more man for a few games and get a few picks. He's worth a 1st at his best. It looks like emotion is clouding judgement. Let him shine to remind the league what he's worth.
He has no value. None

Say what?????? Let him play man???????? The dude is faking home injuries, so how do you expect him to play man when his fake injuries won't allow him to play?????????? Trade him for nothing, just get out from underneath his ridiculous salary.

No one here knows anything about what is really going on inside the Cowboys building. Absent that information it is hard to say what to do with Diggs. But if he still wants to play for the Cowboys I would consider keeping him another year, but first, that relationship has to be mended because I fear it is broken.

Diggs is a good player, or was. I can remember when he shut down the top WRs in the league. Can he still do that? IDK, but what I do know is he is coming off an injury that probably should have kept him sidelined another month or two, just like Revel. I also know he may not get back to full speed until next year, if ever. But this is why, barring circumstances inside the clubhouse, I would keep him and see where he is in a month after treating the knee. There is no point in trading him now anyway. No one will give up anything for him until he gets back on the field and shows he can still play.

Also, we don't know if the Cowboys have insurance on Diggs' contract or not. When he is not playing they could be entitled to a reimbursement of his salary which would be credited to their CAP next year. If that's the case then there is no harm holding on to him for now.

I remember when Bland came back from injury last year for a few games. He looked like garbage. But this year he looks better. This is not unusual for injured players.

Like I said, "If" multiple teams are interested(I don't care what decade it is), someone would trade for him.
No interest - we might get a 6th for our 7th next year as additional compensation, at best. Stop thinking that other teams are stupid. This isn't the 70s

Let's break this down

1. Elite, he's elite at what? He once was, his poor tackling/effort causes him NOT to be on this level
2. Trade- Can't get effort out of him now with him being on the IR for 4 weeks, he is what he is, the team will get what they get
3. He's not worth a first round pick, nobody on our defense is worth a 1st round pick, we have to be more realistic and realize he may only get us a 5-7th round pick, anything less than that, the nfl team may need to be "tested"
4. No emotion, just seems that what he's going through has the writing on the wall, if it were something not so suspect, we'd know what had happened by now, but we don't, so it's seemingly very suspect

Number 3 will get a GM fired for anything that starts at 1-3.

Yep and i'd add that he realises he's probably getting cut before next season and he doesnt want his next contract getting damaged by a year playing a zonal system he obviously cant play.

It's strange how he cant/doesnt like a zonal game, as his big weakness is playing press and defending the run, with his his 'speed bump'/'i just missed him, honestly I was trying' technique.

He will get traded for a 7th that can become a 5th. Otherwise, he's getting cut next year.
He is not getting traded this year. He is on IR and the Cowboys are trying rest and therapy to get him healthy. If that doesn't work he made need another surgery on his knee. BTW, this is the knee of his first injury, not the most recent 1.

But who would want to trade for a player who will miss the next 4 games not knowing if he will need season ending knee surgery? The Cowboys are wisely waiting this one out to see how he comes out of this. I still think if given the proper rest and treatment he will play again. I also think in a year he could get back to being something near what he once was. Being patient is the smart move here.

Wisely? No. They have to pay him no matter what. This is strictly salary related, not a choice.

Not tradeable.

Just make him a June 1st cut and be done w/ it.

Classic one year wonder who got paid then checked out. I don't think there's much of a market for player's like that anymore, but perhaps there's a sucker who will part with a 7th rounder.
Diggs benefited from Micah. Plain and simple.

They can't play him to showcase anything good or bad.
They put him on IR. He is gone for at least 4 weeks. So the trade deadline will be gone by then.

A team would need to trade for his past play, which has not been all that great.

Maybe a future 7th round pick?
This player has really cratered his value.

Come now. The idea that he is elite is comical. I can't even get behind him being our best corner as I think Bland is much better, but the elite part I just can't even let slide. With all due respect, that's just borderline (well, not even borderline) ridiculous.

I would be happy with a 6th or a 7th.
