If we didn't cut Will Allen, do we make the playoffs?

With him on the team and both Heath/Hamilton on the bench, how many more games do we win?

I don't think it affects our playoff status, though a better safety on the field definitely could've made the outcome differently for the Green Bay and Lions game.

Zero.

The problem with the 2013 defense began at the line of scrimmage and ended at free safety, not the other way around. A key to improving the defense for next season begins with upgrading the defensive line first, linebackers second and secondary last.

Who knows, hard to play the what if. No doubt being a vet I think he could have done a better job but there were more issues than safety, like problems on the defensive front. We went 8-8 it is what it is and hopefully this team will get it together and we can stop playing the what if games.

What if Romo didn't go down, same with Lee and the entire defensive line? Could of it been us taking it to the Broncos last week? huh? eh? ehhhh.....and what if Matt Johnson was an All Pro? ehh?

I believe we go 12-4 and lose to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship 11-10

Slightly better safety play in week 17 vs Philly and we win that game and make the playoffs.
I'll leave it up to someone else to predict if Allen would have given us that.

No.
Will Allen is nothing special. We had many other bigger issues defensively. If we would've had ware(at full strength) Ratliff(at full strength) hatcher and spencer on the dline maybe we couldve won another game or 2

Was Heath that bad, I may be blocking out stuff, but I recall Heath thumping some people and making his presence known a little. I doubt having Allen would have made an appreciable difference at all.

Didn't understand why we cut him then and don't now, He really could have help us in the Detroit and GB games.

Same outcome but that was a terrible move cutting him. He alone out the wouldve been better than wilcox and heath at the same time lol

Of course it would have made a difference. I don't get how some fans are so deluded on what Jeff Heath was last season... He was an absolute plague at FS. At least Allen can play, Heath doesn't belong in this league. He gave up big play after big play just by simply not being on the same playing field athletically as NFL receivers. I was embarrassed for him.
