I think we should be able to get two of the four following guys:

Shawne Merriman, Demarucs Ware, Justin Tuck, Johnathan Jackson

Each guy would be a perfect 3-4 OLB. Also look at Kendrel Bell or Ed Hartwell to man the middle, and we now have a few playmakers on the field.

I'm not sold on Kalen Thornton. Will he be as good as any of the four rookies?

I saw Tuck play often, not sold on him...

Thornton could/should flourish in a 3-4...No player can be effective in last years zimmy's passive & predictable "Occupy & engage" crap!

You make good choices for the vet inside Backers, as thats where we would have to have solid vet play...I think dats on his way out...Of course lil dexie is..

I have not seen him play, just going by his profile. It says that he is the all time sack leader at N.D. What don't you like about him at OLB in the 3-4. Not fast enough, not explosive enough, not consistent enough. We can't afford to draft anymore duds.

I thought he lacked explosivness & NFL level turn the corner speed quickness...This was as a DE though...

So perhaps his NFL possition would be as a 3-4 OLB?

I would not rate him in the first round though...
