I can understand why everyone will be PO'd, but I really think if Norv is hired he'll do a pretty good job

you were PO'd when the Commanders hired Norv in 1994? really? Norv was THE hot assistant coach then...almost every team that had an opening wanted this guy...I really wished Jones would have had some foresight in 1994, because if he did he would have convinced Norv to stay and our team would have never had Barry Switzer, and we'd have probably an extra super bowl or two

thats fine...I wont be an apologist for anybody with this team right now though because I think we have pretty good talent...if we have an onslaught of injuries to our best players maybe, but otherwise no

as for the defense...that is the upside of bringing Wade Phillips in...I know he'd make our defense better and honestly if he's hired, I'll be fine with it

I really think either of them will do a good job, I just think because of the QB situation, Norv makes a little more sense

we already have 2 bright, offensive minds, 3 if Palmer doesn't leave, we're not so stocked in bright, 3-4 minds however, and considering our 3-4 D was worse off than our O, IMO, it's imperative that we bring in a real good 3-4 coach, as opposed to another offensive mind to an already very good O
