No doubt the threads will start but I don't think the team will buy into that. Win or lose they still have a lot to play for. I will say this game is critical after being blown out the way we were but teams objective is to get to post season and Dallas will still be in the thick of it regardless of what happens.

The skies will indeed be murky if the Cowboys lose this weekend. Unlike the Saints game -- where we knew we were battling one of the better teams -- there is no excuse to lose to Atlanta. Yeah, they're desperate. But so should the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys lose Saturday, that shot at a divisional title will be seemingly slipping away. New Orleans will have to beat New York and the Cowboys must, must win against Philly.

I just don't like the idea of the Cowboys' chances riding on other teams. That's not a recipe for success.

I agree. However with a win Dallas could clinch a spot this weekend so that pretty much tells me that if Dallas wins 2 out of 3 game we will make the playoffs. I do think to capture the East it very well could take 3 wins.

10 wins & we're in. Period. It would be nice to win the NFC East--but the Gints won it last year & didn't make it past the first round. The Steelers were a wildcard team. If we win 2 out of the next 3, we're in. Hopefully we win 3 & win the division. Make for a nice banner at Texas Stadium next year.

My personal prediction--the last time we got blown out (after the first Giants game), we went on a hot streak. I don't see any reason why that won't happen again. We win out & win a few playoff games too.

I like that way of thinking. :laugh2:

Believe me, I want the Cowboys to win, but I would like the matchup of Dallas (as wildcard) vs Seattle on the road better than Dallas (division winner) vs NYG at home. If it was Philly then I would rather have Dallas at home vs Philly.

That is just me - am I crazy? - maybe I don't respect Seattle like I should.

Frankly, screw a wildcard birth. -- I'd consider thant a total failure based on expectations for this year. I want a division title and a dadgum playoff game at home -- especially since I've already paid for 3 PO games worth of tickets! ;)

I don't care who we face in the playoffs I just want in the playoffs. Your going to face some good teams regardless.
