I personally feel win or lose he should stay, but then again I am one of the few that felt like he should stay last year. The past two years I have been happy with the progress of our defense. Yeah we gave up a few plays at crucial times, but that had more to do with our offense putting us in bad situations.

Last Year: From the Tampa Bay game on our D was very solid. Yeah we got blown out in New York and in Philly but that was do to brad johnson in New York and Turnover after Turnover in Philly. Besides those two games and the two runs vs baltimore the defense was more than okay. (Im not if Hamlin blowing two tackles can be blamed on Wade.

This Year: The only team we gave up over 21 points to was the Giants. Both games we were turnover machines. Other than that nobody else did. If we didnt turn the ball over we didnt give up a bunch of points, and guess what Tony is no longer Tony Turnover. We can hang our hat on this Defense to keep us in games. That alone should get wade another contract. Imagine if this offense starts putting up points as it did 2 years back, and the D stays in tact. Just Imagine. Young D Line....Young running backs, Young Receivers, Fairly young QB (plenty miles left), Young Corner= the strong possibility of a third:starspindynasty.

Thats all!

Let it be known I thought Wade was a dunce entering this season. I thought he should have been canned and that Jerry inexplicably kept him this season despite mounting evidence he had lost the team.

With that said, Wade has really won me over this year. Jerry has allowed Wade to make this "his" team, and he's taken the ball and run with it. I think he should return win or lose, barring a catastrophic loss (like 44-6) or a sequence of barbaric in-game coaching decisions. Those are about the only things that would make me reconsider.

If we lose: I will be out for opposing teams fans heads. I don't care if you want to act like a turd bring it on!!!!! I am nervous however about this game, and we all should be too. I don't want a repeat of 07.

yes,it wil be unfortunate but he will have to go.

On what grounds? So we can hire a sexier name who was fired at his last stop due to a lack of production, and undo all the undeniable progress that has been built over the latter three quarters of this season?

While we're at it, do we toss Romo out the window too since he'd still be winless in the playoffs?

I'm sorry, I just don't see what we stand to gain by switching gears at this point. For once, this franchise is not only pointed in the right direction from an organizational stance but actually the horsepower in terms of player personnel to make something of it.

With this much team talent, dude has to win a couple of playoff games to survive, he appears to be on the right track.

i really want to keep Wade,he has done what we wanted him to do on defense.unfortunately he is also our head coach and with this kind of talent everywhere on the team you have to win atleast one playoff game for 3 years.

All depends on how we lose. Unenspired and sloppy, he would have to go. If we just got beat and played our top game, of course he stays.

It's really rather simple.

I'll concede there is credence to the notion that in the event of a loss, no matter the nature, "He's had three years here and has produced nothing but two playoff losses, and to two divisional teams we had swept during the regular season."

If we're judging merely on results, which is how is a lot of things in life are judged, it can probably be argued he failed.

But is that failure something that can't be recovered from? Is the franchise not exactly where we want it right now -- as we sit here today? Do we not have a coaching staff and players that not only work well together from a psychological standpoint, but are built for each other philosophically and in terms of skill set?

By firing the coach who hasn't won a playoff game (can't?) for one who has -- but was also probably recently fired for failing elsewhere -- what do we really gain? Better press conferences and wittier snippets? A coach that will call out guys when we lose?

And what do we risk losing? What do we risk doing to an offense that is finally developing an identity? And what about a defense that is thriving under Wade and undoubtedly would not be as good under someone else? More importantly, what about a team -- yes, the whole team, which as you said Wade is responsible for -- that finally seems to get it?

Does one loss really undo all of that to the point where the whole thing needs to be blown up and rebuilt? I'm not so sure it does.

The only way I would want Wade's head on a platter is if on the first passing play Tony Romo gets knocked silly because Wade "felt" that Colombo should start at RT when he shouldn't.

I'm with Rainman. If you are using any kind of logic at all, if you fire Wade you might as well toss Romo to0. Neither can win the big game.
The logic makes sense, but really ---

If we lose this week, I still want a shot at it next year, when it's played in Arlington (yea, you lost it Dallas).

I don't care if you brought in Lombardi, Landry, Jimmy Johnson....etc, this team would not make a run at the SB next year, with a new scheme to run.

You have to give Wade another year, before rebuilding this team.

And then again if you bring in a new coach, you guys better be ready for some of our biggest name players to be traded away for draft picks and younger players. Some of our big names who are 26+, will be in their declining years, by the time a new system is installed and functional.

Is this really what you want? I for one am not ready to give up on this team. I don't think like Dan Snyder and the Commanders.

And by the way - those that do want to hire a new coach ought to go root for Snyder and his ilk. What's the longest a coach has stayed there?
And where are they now. Do you truly think Shanahan can get them to the SuperBowl next season? IMO, he will be fired by 2013.

If we lose, Wade should get fired. Plain and simple.

Regular season wins are nice but if you can't get us a playoff W, the relationship is over. Wade has been known as a guy who can't close and a loss Saturday would futher cement that reputation.

No, I won't be out for his blood, but I don't think it will matter. He has never won a playoff game and the Cowboys are on an Historic losing streak in the Post Season. I won't blame Jerry if he gets heavy handed.

I would. He needs to win a playoff game, lets be serious here. This team is talented and very healthy. No excuses.
