If we win on Saturday, will that be the ultimate revenge for 44-6?

A 3 game series sweep of the Eagles, knocking them off the 2nd seed, and knocking them out of the playoffs would seem to out due 44-6. 44-6 will always be one of the most gutless, heartless, and embarrassing moments in Cowboys history though.

Most definitely. Beating the Eagles 3 times in one season, 2 times in less than a week and knocking them out of the playoffs will make 44-6 pretty irrelevant. I want this game so badly because it is something you can hold over Eagles fan for a long time unless they beat us 3 times in a season sometime in the near future. Eagle fans love to hold 44-6 over us and winning playoff games and going to NFC championship games over us. Winning on Saturday will cancel all of that out.

it'll be revenge for a lot of things...thrown batteries, bounties...Buddy Ryan in general

If we win this game I personally will forget every bad thing that's ever happened against philly. A threesweep that culminates in knocking the eagles out of the playoffs is the granddaddy of all bragging rights

Just shy of it.

Now, should that win catapult us to a 6th Lombardi, then it will be the ultimate revenge.

we already made up for that with the beatdowns we gave them in 1992 (regular season game at Texas Stadium, then playoffs), owning them in 93 as well as the playoffs in 95.

Who cares about revenge?

Playoff games are for winning, not settling scores.

Beating the Eagles 3 times in one season and then winning the SB would just mean things are back to normal for us :D

Beating their sorry *** 3 times in a row, and advancing to the NFC Championship AND WINNING IT. Means we can put these miserable *******s in their place. I also want to see the Cowboys win for many personal reasons. I'm tired of the bafoons in my town who wear "Purple" have that idiot John Harbaugh as head coach here. That will remind them of the beatdown the Steelers put on them last year hahahahahahahahahahahhaha!!!!!!!! :lmao:

I don't know how often you can use 44-6 as a revenge factor. I think 44-6 should be a reminder to Dallas that Philly is a good team and we need to come in focused and ready to play.

It will be a start. I hope that 44-6 loss stays in the team's head for years. And that they continue to punish the lowly egals from now until eternity.

Not only will it be the ultimate revenge, I think it may be the beginning of the end for them just like "the catch" was for us. It could end McNabbs tenure, so he will no longer be a thorn in our side. I think they would still be a decent team with mcnabb and reid, but they wont win anything if it doesnt happen this year. So they are going to have to get worse to get better. I would love to start that change beginning saturday night.

We put 44-6 to rest when we swept them this season, kept them from getting the #2 seed and took the NFC East title. This game is about the Cowboys getting over the proverbial hump. It is the first step to the Cowboys getting back where they belong.

44-6 knocked us out of the playoffs. So sweet revenge would be to not only knock them out, but to also go on to win the Superbowl, knowing we stepped over their bscks to do it and forced them to watch it all form home. For me, that's what will erase 44-6.

44 - 6 will not be erased easily. A win this Sat will help, but I am not sure anything will erase it except time and future success.

The 44 - 6 raping at the end of last year was the worst defeat and at the most critical time. I think this should / will linger in Cowboy memories for some time to come.

We'll never put that beatdown completely to rest. It was too awful. However, we can get a measure of revenge by knocking them out of the playoffs. The rest of the year is already history. The shutout felt good but it won't mean anything if we lose to them.
