The unfortunate thing is, we can't chase second place (Eagles) in the division. We have to win the division. There is no chance this division gets two teams.

The Giants will lose sunday. At least I hope so if everyone else loses its makes it easier. We would be back to a game and a half behind with Romo coming back

Have you looked at the schedules? Both teams have to play the Pats. Eagles still have the Cards as well. Giants will probably lose their last 3 against Carolina, @Minnesota and the Eagles.

And then we waltz into the playoffs and pretty soon Super Bowl!

Nope. Last week's loss ruined the divisional tie-breaker advantage for Dallas.

Now, the Cowboys pretty much have to go 7-1 the rest of the way.

So completely hypothetical here. If we win and the Giants, Eagles, and Skins lose, was last week's loss a Wash. I mean not the fact we lost to the eagles but just in general. We would technically be right where we were last week. Anyone else have the same thought process? Or have ya'll given up?

Our divisional record is what is very important and we lost a step to the giants beause we lost against a divisional opponent.

So even if everything went the way you posted the loss to the eagles wouldnt be washed away. The loss is essentially a 1 1/2 game loss.

I have not given up. But i also think the way people hang their last hope on Romo is not fair to him.

This guy had one very good season last year and that because he had a OL the protected him for 10 seks on every pass. He is a good QB but he is not so good to think that just because of him we are able to win out.

Lets just see what happens. I am not very hopefull but that we might turn this season around is a nice thing to me. It makes this season still fun to watch.

When you're in the basement and have 8 games left eventually you're going to run out of games so the Cowboys are going to have to start stringing wins together (a lot of them) and hope Washington, Philly and NY start losing. Every time the Giants win a game it's going to be another nail in the Cowboys coffin and put them one game closer to being eliminated. With only 2 wins where almost at the point where the team is going to have to start making up some ground every week if they're going to stay alive another 4 weeks. It's going to be too little too late at some point.

With Carolina and Green Bay left on the schedule this season is doomed. I've given up on the team this year because their fate is in the hands of several other teams and they can't even take care of their own business. We can't make up any ground because we keep losing and we're going to run out of games pretty soon. It's one thing to try and dig yourself out of a hole but it's another when you need help from others who are trying to bury you. The Cowboys don't have a good team and although Romo will improve the situation he's not going to be enough to overcome a defense that continues not to be able to stop anyone when games are on the line.

He's stuck with the same type of team he went 8-8 three straight seasons with. Go back and see how many games our special teams and defense cost us those years despite Romo having some good games and good seasons. The Cowboys received good enough QB play last Sunday Night to win but the defense continues to fold when games are on the line.

If the Eagirls lose to the Dolphins.....they have about 3 or 4 more losses on their schedule. I think the Eagirls are a better team than the Dolphins........but the Dolphins have potential to upset. I don't think they lose but if the Dolphins are on their game they can win. It should be a close one either way.

Unless the Redksins can beat the Giants or Eagles and whoever loses to the skins among the two wins in week 17.

We would also need to sweep the Skins.

The Eagles are going to be 4-2 in the division, and they have an easy schedule the rest of the way.

The Giants' schedule is brutal. They might not win three more games.

Dallas has to get to 9 wins now. I thought 8 would do it if they beat Philly, but not now.

Just because you say it will happen doesn't make it so. The Giants or Commanders could beat them.

The Commanders already did, but I don't see that again. The Giants couldn't buy a first down against Philly.

Giants also just lost their best defender for the season. Injuries have already been the biggest factor in this division this year and the same has been true for most of the last decade in the East.

Romo didn't make it easy by telling Brady "we'll see you in February". Romo can handle the task. I know if we fall short some unwarranted blame will be on him.

We need to win out (not happening because we're not beating Tampa with this garbage roster). And the other NFC East teams need to lose out (not likely).

Let it go folks...

I never stop believing until the team is officially deemed statistically out of contention, its more fun rooting for my team that way.
