If we win Sunday

It's pretty pathetic to see people urging other people to simply give up because they have too. Not everyone has the same mindset. The Commanders were 3-6 in 2012 before their bye and went on to win out and win their division. If we win Sunday and the Giants lose, we'll be 1.5 back and have a chance to make up a .5 game with the Giants on their bye the following week with a win against Miami. By the time we play the Panthers, we could be only 1/1.5 games back of the division with almost a 1/4 of the season to play. I refuse to give up until the Cowboys are mathematically eliminated. I just simply can't give up yet.

So completely hypothetical here. If we win and the Giants, Eagles, and Skins lose, was last week's loss a Wash. I mean not the fact we lost to the eagles but just in general. We would technically be right where we were last week. Anyone else have the same thought process? Or have ya'll given up?

No, it doesn't make it a wash.

Losing to the Eagles was devastating because we lost the head to head tie break we would have owned if we would have won. That is gone now and beating the sorry arse Bucs is not going to bring it back.

I think we can only afford to lose (maybe) 1 more game. That doesn't allow much leeway at all for slip-ups.

One these years, a 2-6 will make the playoffs...probably.

Maybe it's me, but I just can't go through the endless scenarios. We're just too far out with too much ground to recover. Now, assuming we get to 6-6, maybe I'll entertain the "what if" scenarios. But for now, it's just too exhausting.

if we win Sunday, the tone and mood of this board will experience a sea change: some will demand playoff tickets be printed; others will demand Cassell get probowl votes; others will demand that 20 of 22 starters be cut NOW and resigned to higher contracts; still others will taunt Demarco as a loser;

this could go on all day.....
