Now that we've played them twice, what would you do differently if you coached the Eagles of the Cowboys?

If I COACHED the Cowboys. They would be a no BS, hard nosed smash mouth team. I'd make sure we'd crucify our enemies in our house, and in their house also. We would unleash hell all year long, and play for each other and not because of everyone's individual records or me me me. Not that in my clubhouse, and if you screw up and ask me why you won't be starting games. It's because I benched you, and started the better receiver over you. No camp marshmellow on my team. Pratice would be brutal, and I'd work these guys to death. We would also have a day called find an Eagles or Giants player and use them for target practice. Like one of their smack talking rookies. I'd launch golf balls at them, and see how they react to it.

It's fun to dream!

Nobody on this site has 5% of the qualifications or knowledge to coach compared to the two Head Coaches leading the Boys and Eagles....but it IS fun act like it!

Not much, I think you have to go with the things that got you to this point. There may be a few wrinkles thrown in but pretty much Dallas is going to run their offense and try to spread the ball around. Philly pretty much the same. Too me the team who goes out and execute and makes the fewest mistakes will be the team who wins.

Oh and if I was coach also. I'd also play a game of spying on the Eagles playbooks, and of course get inside information on the Giants playbook. So then when we play them right. I'd go totally Bill Bellichik on their ***. I'd run up the score on both teams because they honestly deserve it.

If Any of us were coaching we would be axed like Jim Zorn. :lmao2:

Not to mention I doubt most could handle being second guessed after the fact.

I'd motivate the Cowboys to win, and scream at them and hurt their feelings when they'd screw up. I'd also make threats against ANY NFC East team that wanted to brawl with us. Like for instance I'd have Anthony Spencer end Brandon Jacobs career in the most horrorific way ever. Anthony Spencer would also pimp slap McNabb up and down the field.

Yeah, me too, as I've coached, played and been around the game for decades...but we tend to overestimate ourselves on this site.:D

Avazano was saying the other day how amusing it is that the average fan thinks they can be as good as people at the very top of their profession...like the kid who starred on his jr high team and said if he only had a chance he could have made it in the NFL or NBA or whatever. If someone has been a head coach in the NFL (and especially was not one and done w/ their career) they are usually considered to be the top .01 percent of their profession.

But this is one of the most fun things about being a fan, so it's fine with me.

lol!!! Only about the Giants and Eagles player part I am lol. That would be pretty fun though, and we'd make sure we'd get information out of them for their plans too hahahaha.:laugh1:

I would like to see some 3 WR sets w/both Roy and Ogletree on the outside and Austin in the slot. I can only imagine the attention Austin will get when he runs one of those Crayton crossing patterns. Witten & Felix should have more than ample room to catch and run underneath.

And the D has to continue playing physical and continue knocking the snot out WRs, RBs, OL, TE and especially McNabb.on.every.play.

I think the Eagles are going after Newman this week. I think they are done testing Jenkins. Newman will get some opportunities, he's got to play the ball and not the man. Hamlin did a great job of that on the deep ball last week.

If I coached the Eagles, I would quit to avoid another embarassing butt kicking.
