Dez is the only one id consider thst would bring back good value. It would have to be just before the draft knowing you were bringing in a starting 1 wr. I dont think there is anyone that would justify it though.

I would trade Jeff Heath.

When 31 teams said no thanks, maybe just maybe, you guys would realize he does not belong on a NFL roster.

Then why did you enter? Is it too much to ask for you to allow us to enjoy our speculation and fantasy, or do you have some incessant need to rain on everyone's fun? :)

I ask myself the same question after reading it. Why did I enter it. I am now asking why I even responded to you.

Why don't you ask Rex Ryan what he'd give for a Romo. or the Jets coach, or the Browns, or the Niners...

It wouldn't be a first round pick, that's for sure.

Rex is much better off with Tyrod Taylor than he would be with Tony Romo. Tyrod is younger, more athletic, has more potential at this point, and throws a beautiful deep ball.

The Jets would more-less be the same with Romo or Fitzpatrick (provided he signs)

The 49ers and Browns don't have anyone for Romo to throw to (except Gary Barnidge and a possibly unsuspended Josh Gordon)

I live up here near Buffalo. Tyrod will be gone after this year unless he suddenly blossoms. His biggest supporter is Rex, who single handedly destroyed this defense. He will be fired at seasons end when the Bills regress farther. Tyrod can scramble and throw a deep ball. But he's shown he aint "the guy". Pegula's wont pay him starter money. He has no future in Buffalo.

This is a good topic. And a tough question because I basically like the composition of the team. I think I'd probably go with Zack Martin, too. The reasoning being that 1, he's a very good player and that's in keeping with the spirit of the topic. 2. he's been with us long enough that a contract extension is sort of looming, and it's going to be a huge one. I'd rather we use that money on a DL position. 3. We've got OG depth and could retain Ronald Leary and still have a very good line. If we're going to weaken the OL somewhere, I'd rather it be in the middle where Frederick can help out, we've got a good replacement already on the roster, and where RB blocking can be most effective.

McFadden would be another candidate, though he's really not enough of an impact player for it to matter. But he did have a good season last season, I'd take anything we could get for him, and he is a name of sorts. We could lose him and never miss him with our current stable of RBs.

Too bad we can't trade Leary (may still trade him) for something worth while. I can't believe how many UDFA do well on this team. Does anyone have any idea who may be doing the scouting for those players? I really wonder if someone in particular has been the catalyst for the success. However, I like the Zack Martin thought process. However, I would want more than a #1. I'd need another player or draft pick as well.

In my opinion, right now the Bears, 49ers, Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Browns, and Broncos would all willingly give up a 1st and a 3rd for Romo. But I wouldn't trade him because we all know he's the difference between a playoff berth and a four win season.

Just playing this game here:

I would try to trade Zack Martin for a top safety or corner. I think we could still have a dominant Oline with Leary and Collins at Guard.

I wouldn't want to trade Martin, but someone would give very good compensation to acquire him and his favorable contract. I think Leary may fetch us a reasonable return at some point as well. I doubt we would part with Martin tho, and Leary's knee is the wild card in getting a deal done with him.

Agreed. Actually, some desperate team would willingly give up more than that for Romo. Denver would have willingly given up two firsts for Romo, because if they had Romo they would be the favorite to win the SB next year, and the picks would probably be two picks in the 28-32 range.

Cartel. Probably wouldn't get any value for him. I just like typing his nickname.

Dez is arguably a top 5 receiver. He is also arguably not even in the top 10. If you were the Steelers would your trade Antonio Brown for Dez? No. If you were Atlanta Would you trade Julio Jones for Dez? Not a chance. If you are the Texans would you trade D'Andre Hopkins for Dez? Negative. Demarius Thomas, no chance. A.J. Green for Dez and his monkey? Pass. Giants trade off Odell Beckham for Dez? Ha Ha Ha, no chance in hell.

I could go on but I think you see my point. Dez is an elite talent, and it is easy to say Dez is the best receiver in the game if you say it really fast. Truthfully, he could be top 5 or he may not even be in the top 10. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

Romo is more valuable to the Cowboys than any draft pick they could get for him. When you look at our backup QB situation the Cowboys are a 2-5 win team at best without him. We're 1-13 the past three seasons without Romo.

Depending on one player so much is this team's problem. There is a very deep, serious flaw with the team for them to just fold up like they did after Romo's injury. Good teams don't do that. This team is really going to be in trouble until they fix the QB issue.

There is no way that I would weaken the oline. It is the one position group that is good on this team. I remember just how bad it was with players like Acosta and Livings.
