...and think it is ludicrous that your cable provider demands you pay more to get it while they supply you with myriad channels that THEY own and pay nothing for; then this site needs your attention.

iwantnflnetwork.com

Sign the petition that goes out to the ears who need to hear you.

If this doesn't work let's all call the Cable providers non stop and tie up their phone lines. I'd love to see a nationwide movement to disrupt their operations.

I want to stress again what I said above. Most of the channels that you receive in your basic or expanded cable packages are channels that your cable supplier owns.

If that doesn't gall you...it should.

Use your money and get Direct TV. The cable company will hear that loud and clear.

Direct TV isn't an option for everyone, unfortunately. I would love to give them my money for Sunday Ticket, but my complex doesn't allow the mounting of sat dishes.

NFL has mega contract with Directtv. No time soon are you buying NFL Sunday ticket on Cable.

NFL Network is a power struggle and you are only talking a few games. Cable may eventually pay the ransom and pass it on to consumers.

NFL is evolving into pay per view and I embraced that 5 years ago. If I shell out a few bucks to get all the football programming it's worth it.

Direct TV - IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT YOU SHOULD.

I am at my parents' right now and the local cable provider (sudden-link) is one of those is the battle.

They had a report on the news last night that the local DirecTV affiliate is installing 6-8 new systems a day and are way behind. They said they are having to call in help to get all of the new systems in by the Dallas-GB game...

The cable company did acknowledge that they are taking a considerable hit in terms of losing business to DirecTV but that they will continue their stance in regards to charging for the NFL Network.

The cable companies just don't get it...

If I didn't get my cable for practically free, I would have switched a long time ago.

You know, I don't know if I'm right about this or not, but I bet the cable companies have something to do with some apartment complexes not allowing sat dishes.

I mean, why do some complexes about them and some don't? I bet cable companies make deals with apartment complexes to not allow them or something.

Will they be playing the game on the ticket?
Nope, NFL Network/Directv channel 212 only. It will also be broadcast on Sirius Home (123) and Away (126). And over Westwood One.

I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility, but I had an experience with a more upscale townhome complex that claimed it wouldn't allow them because the dishes marred the "looks of the immediate community." Whatever that means.

No they don't....I work for an apartment management company and we don't allow the to be mounted because of the damage to the buildings. We can't keep you from having them just can't mount them to the building. The answer is a tripod. I see a lot of them on our properties.

Still, if you're going to get a dish, it'll need a clear view of the southern sky. I have seen that on a commercial. Or two. :)

Apartments have to allow them, but the satellites have certain requirements. They cannot install them on a roof where they penetrate the roof to anchor it. That's because roofing contractors will void their warranties on the roof not leaking.

You also have the problem of apartments being transitory occupancy, meaning you live there and have the dish, th next person may want cable. So what happens to the dish? They have to leave the anchor plate even if they take the satellite dish.

The bottom line it is someone else's property. If you can't put the dish on a pedestal then the properties do not have to allow you to use it.
