If you're still spending money on this franchise you're the problem

If that stadium was half empty or completely filled with opposing fans every week the embarrassment alone would force a change imo

An empty stadium or full of opposing fans on Thanksgiving would destroy his ego. We have more control than you think. We just need to make changes and stop watching and stop going to games.
 
I sold my seat license, and haven't bought anything in a few years. The only jerseys I wear I got custom-made (no players), so I can wear them for the rest of my life. One of them says JUNGLIST as the last name because I DJ, and I spin jungle/drum & bass music. I agree with you, OP. Unfortunately, the seat license (which is pure profit) guarantees people keep buying season tickets so they don't lose them.

I agree. Although to me its because the NFL has gotten really stale. Its not just the Cowboys. The way the NFL is today I really struggle with.
 
I live 15 minutes from MetLife stadium. My son invited me to go to Cowboys/Jets game. I checked the weather and it was perfect. And because the Jets were like 0-4/5?...the tickets were relatively cheap. All in for 2 pretty good seats it would have come to about around $750 - 50 yard line seats - and with transportation/food probably around $900.

I told my son I'd rather pay to watch paint dry.

Except that the Star Wars fan base is not dominated by dutiful devotees and the SW fanbase has spoken with their wallet and declining interest.

Ticket sales and natural gas is up...so...Jerry's doesn't care and there won't be change. Disney is going to have to change.
 
62% of NFL team's revenue is from tv deals. Tickets make up 15% the other 23% is merchandise etc.

You're not going to make a deep enough cut to force any team to do what you personally want to happen cause you skipped a few games and didn't buy a jersey.

But go ahead and try.
 
Jerry wins every time you watch them in any way, listen to them, talk about them, communicate about them on fan sites. So we are all part of the problem. If you really want to stick it to him you'll stop watching any NFL, no commercials, no sports radio, no fan sites nothing. Go watch womens NBA and be happy.

i’ve been a fan since i was 3 years old. 45 + years. i’ve stopped paying for games merch but i still watch them. i’m pretty close to stopping watching

You two got me wondering how accurate this TV revenue thing is, so I did some Google searching. Sure, watching the games helps generate revenue, but there isn't a single team that benefits as the entire NFL has to share the revenue. The thing to keep in mind, though, is that there isn't a direct payment from viewers, but rather it comes from the networks and streaming services who pay the NFL crap tons of money, who then try to recoup this money by way of selling advertising and subscriptions like NFL ticket and other services.

Concerning sports radio and fan sites - I don't think any of the owners make any money off of that, unless they own the stations or sites. Jerry has nothing to do with CZ and doesn't make a penny off of us trashing his team. If I were to find out Jerry is making money from our posts here at CZ I would immediately close my account.

No it wouldn't change a thing. Money is money to Jerry Jones no matter what team they root for when they buy tickets to his stadium.
