If the guy didn't take enough disrespect during the years when he was leading the Dallas Cowboys to 3 Super Bowl Titles, it continues to this day as mediots debate how Aikman compares to the likes of Warren Moon and others.

Today, in labeling some old VCR tapes that I didn't have a label on, I came across the 1995 NFC Championship game. Dallas trailed GB heading into the 4th Quarter. Aikman did surgery on that team while Brett Favre threw the game away with an unforced error to Larry Brown.

I challenge anyone to go back and watch that game, watch the cool of Aikman, the accuracy with velocity, and the leadership and tell me he wasn't the best QB of the 90's.

Give me equal teams and I'll take Aikman over any of them. Over Young, over Favre, certainly over Moon, and even over Marino, and I'll bet the house that I win more out of 7 than you will.

Let the mediots debate, but this Cowboys fan will be super happy and proud tomorrow when #8 goes into the Hall.

I find it amazing that alot of people don't realize how good of QB, he was.

Alot of people like to look at stats to me Fantasy Football, has poisoned many fans/mediots minds and that's all it is a fantasy it will never happen.

I appreciate the QB, Troy, was and some of the throws he made like the 15- slant pass on a rope to Irvin, there weren't too many QBs, that wouldn't attempt to make that kind of throw.

Jakie Harris, an All-Pro TE, once said during his tenure with the Cowboys, during TC, one year they ran a play and he said that he thought Troy, didn't see him but once he took his eye off the play and a second later he look and the pass hummed pass his face and said that not even Farve, gotten into a rythmn like Troy, did.

i'm pretty sure he'll be my favorite cowboy for life.

he came all the way from 0-11 to 3 time champion. he was a winner on and off the field, and we've been trying to replace him ever since!

i love the guy!

Unfortunately, even Cowboys fans, some, still don't appreciate the greatness of Aikman.

funny thing is, I think he was the one who caught the last pass from Aikman in his career. Not sure though, it was either him or Lafleur
