I would rather replace him in next year's draft. 3rd round should do it.

Oh yea, I am sure all 3rd round offensive linemen are locks to succeed. At least he won't be as expensive as Rogers 2nd Rd, but better than Pettiti 6/7th round. Good linemen just don't grow on trees.

Yeah, I don't know if I want to mess with moving Martin. He's too good where he's at. If it was LT and Martin could play it well, sure...but not at RT. That's an easier position to fill.

No reason a top 3 (rd) tackle shouldn't be in the mix. Even with a qb in rd 1/2

Not without scouting;) Funny how it is deemed impossible on this squad, but another team solidifying their tackle position in the top 3? No prob

No, I don't. But you don't know it either.

So all I got to go on is my opinion. I don't change it simply because if offends a bunch of babies in team color coordinated face paint.

damn RS, I was cleaning off my face paint ans sucking on my milk bottle then you go hurt my feelings.now I have face paint all over my keyboard.
At any point its more a accumulation of past comments about players and their draft position worth that makes me respond.
Why someone would have a beef with a player that is playing above a position his drafted is note worthy.

Don't overvalue Free, we missed Leary far more than we missed Free.

I would like to keep the line intact, but Free is the one that is the most expendable.

Agree here.

I at first wanted to move him to RT. But the way he is playing....let him continue to be an All Pro RG.

I agree. The drop-off from Leary to Bernadeau is far greater than that of Free to Parnell. Take nothing away from Free's play this season, but Leary's absence was a bigger problem.

He's a try hard journeyman who only plays on a bad defense. A huge reach in the 4th round. He'd have been there in the 7th.

It's hilarious when people say this. We know at least one team who had him better than the 7th...the Cowboys...is it impossible to think another team didn't have him higher as well? There are a lot of teams. It just takes one.

I do want to keep Free, but with both of them returning today and the line looking good, some are including Free as a part of that better play.

Leary is tons better than Berny, I'm more worried about having a backup guard to replace Berny than the Free/Parnell situation cause I see those RTs as at least in the same ballpark.

Doug Free is s must re - sign .

We have nobody on this team including Parnell that has his game.

He's become a nasty player and is the vocal leader of that group.

You do realize that Parnell didn't give up any sacks in the games that he started and is a more powerful run blocker. Free is a little better at making the reach block on the backside of the Zone Stretch running play but Parnell is better on power type blocks.

Free has 77 career starts and Parnell has 4. The fact that there was no real drop off from a 77 game starter to a 4 game starter should be a clue that Parnell has better physical ability and with a few more starts he'll totally surpass Free's ability.

Parnell had a really good game against the Cardinals who have lost 1 game all season.

You're praising Free after playing against the Jags that have won 1 game all season.

Getting Leary back was huge. He's a really good player.

No. Not possible. The cowboys are just inept at talent evaluation.

When you buy is just as important as what you buy in the draft. If you take a guy that is an UDFA projection in the 4th round and he turns out to be a backup/special teams player, that's not good value. If you could have gotten him later you should have. What would the actual 4th round talent that wasn't taken be doing in Dallas this year and in the future?

Of course the Cowboys disagree. But I don't blindly rubber stamp everything they do as if they're flawless. This is a poorly run team. They don't get any benefit of the doubt from me. If I didn't like Hitchens in the 4th round on May 9th, I don't like it on May 10th either. The fact that he's forced to play now on a bad defense and hustles doesn't change my opinion on him at all.

Remember Sean Lissemore? I thought that was a poor investment. Should have gotten him in UDFA. But he ended up being a nice role player and I admitted as much. The Cowboys were right on that.

Remember Matt Johnson? The biggest reach of the entire draft and he proved it. That was a clusterbleep from the get go. He didn't belong in the league.

I expect, and have always expected, Hitchens to fall in the middle of that.
