What I find so funny is I don't think people on this board really understand how good Romo is. The team was in every single game bar the New England game with Cassel and Weeden. You don't think Romo is for 7-14 more points a game? A couple more third down conversions? Fact is with a healthy Romo we are 8-1 right now and everybody is talking about how good a job Linnehan, Garrett etc are doing and we are feeling good going into the stretch. It is also not an exaggeration to say Romo can lead this team to 9-7.

Also, what I find disturbing is how pessimistic everyone on this board are. Are you people actual Cowboys fans? More of you are rooting for a better draft pick than a push into the tournament even though clinching the East is a very real possibility. Those same people are going to be acting like the biggest fans if Dallas clinches. I'm also a member on a few other forums and all the Cowboys fans are optimistic and excited for Romos return. This place is the opposite. Sad tbh.

Lots of pom pom's in this thread. Let's not take in account that Romo will be rusty and when Romo needed the team to get a few wins, they couldn't. That's the same crappy team he's going to get when he comes back. All we will do is win enough games to break our hearts in the end and screw up a draft pick...

Are you going to watch the game Sunday? Are you going to be rooting for the Cowboys to win?

That's all that people are talking about.

Yeah. I'm excited to see Romo play. I'm fairly certain the season is over, but hey, I can at least enjoy watching games again. We've been so brutally incompetent for so many games now. It'll be a nice change.

Totally agree, love to see this team play some solid football for a change and maybe,,,,just maybe... win a few games to make a bad season a little more palatable.....who knows they might get lucky.....and make the playoffs...

It's interesting to see so many people say it's over and how they won't watch anymore games.
They are lying. They wouldn't be here if they tuned out. They are just so angry and need to vent it towards the team in some fashion.

The psychology of sports fan is a funny thing.

I am watching because I like football.

But it's over.

What are the odds of Romo getting hurt in the Miami game?

Dude we've lost 7 in a row. We deserve to be pessimistic!!

Yep, Romo is back. Here is what I have learned since Romo has been out. That a good to great QB is on your team that guy helps the whole team, even if you have a great OLine and Defense, without good QB play you will flounder and lose. I learned that you have to have a good backup QB,(and I am not saying Cassel is not a good QB) name a better backup than Cassel in the league right now, anyone, because the only one I can think of is Fitzpatrick and he is starting right now. .

Hassblback
Vick
Johnny Manziel
Sanchez
Glenon
Garoppolo

i could go on.

I used to be the most pessimistic fan in the world, but I'm feeling good. We got Romo back. For all the people that say he masks the coaches inabilities, he's back. For all the people that said he was frustrated with the play called on 3rd and 1 in the game yesterday...he's back to check out of it. For all the fans that say every game is "do or die," he's back to not lose another "do or die" game. Romo knows how bad it hurts to lose, how to live from play to play. How to check out of a ****ty Linehan play call. How to make Garrett look amazing. How to scramble and find Beasely. I know the defense has been beyond frustrating, but if they can get a turnover or two like yesterday and hold teams to a touchdown or two, we'll win out. He also won't lose in Green Bay this year.

He's back. Cowboy up!

(Ready for all the people who don't want to watch the Cowboys on Sunday for the next 7 weeks to fire back)

I think its great you are excited. Getting the best player back is something to look forward to for sure.
And every fan can plan and plot and project things to end however they wish. Thats what being a fan is all about.
Its just my opinion that anyone that thinks Romo being back means the team will go 9-7 or 8-8 and win the division, they are in for a major letdown.

They will certainly win 3 or 4....and those 3 or 4 wins will do more harm than good IMO. I wish we would just give lots of game time to guys that dont see the field much so we know what we have. And that'll help the losses pile up and give us a much better draft spot.

As fans, we all see things differently. Thats what is great about being a fan.

I love Romo, but the problems on this team are deep. Too deep for him to save.

Yes it is. A little worried now about Miami, not getting beat, but getting Romo beat. I did not realize until this morning that they hurt Bradford. This season is actually very surreal.

Here is a little tidbit. Our last win back in September, the Texas Rangers were 2 games out of 1st place with 13 to go! That seems like 2 years ago!!

I was just talking to a Viking fan who was trying to be nice about our prospects. I made the comment that I could see Romo being back for about a quarter and going out with a back injury or somesuch (knock on @Wood) as easily as I could see him coming back and getting us on a run. It just seems like that's the way things have been going.

But I'm trying not to think about that stuff. Right now, I just want to see how the team can play with almost all of its original starters back. We're finally getting healthy, and I'm just going to go into next week's game like we're 0-0 and see if I can't still enjoy it while we've got it.

Great post. I'm just going all in thinking and hoping that Romo (in his older age,) realizes that if he plays the best football he's ever played, with the help of others stepping up...We can do it.

It will be nice to just see a decent QB again. The offense still sucks, but I love Romo!

I hope we beat the hell out of Carolina so Turkey day will be fun!

Just a win. I am forgetting how that feels. Just one....End Carolinas win streak. Do "something" this year.

Call 3 flea flickers in a row, go for every 4th down, .......................................something!!!
