Our family dwelling has been defiled. This THING has entered our home:

For 20+ years I have lived unequally yoked with an unrepentant wife when it comes to turning from her football fandom sins. Now a student of hers has given her this THING for a Christmas gift and she has brought it into our sacred place of domicile. I now know how Jacob felt when he discovered the idols under the seat of Rachel's camel.

I suggested she give it to her brother who lives on the other side of the state. That may happen but I dont know when we will be seeing him, so for now I must reside with this THING in my home feeling uneasy and dirty not just in its presence, but just from the knowledge it has entered our sacred family space. Once this THING has been removed we will be able to cleanse and rededicate our home but for now I can only hope the Cowboys beat the Skins in the final game and that will have to suffice.
