I'm disapointed in those who are blaming Bledsoe for our troubles

I know im gonna get flamed for this

Some of you are acting like the Commanders fans did after we crushed them, blaming our Quarterback. Its the easy thing to do right. But in both cases it was neither Brunells fault nor Bledsoes fault, it boils down to the pass protection and play calling.

Brunell vs cowboys wk 2 - Horrible play calling by Saunders, Only made one real mistake (dumb pick to roy)

Bledsoe vs Eagles wk 5 - Horrible pass protection in part because of a very potent eagles pass rush and various blitz packages. Made many mistakes but almost all of which are directly contributed to the lousy protection he was given.

Now lets get off our QB's back, Lets move on and accept that the Eagles are a very legitimate team against whom we could easily be 2-0 or 0-2 against our last two matches.

On to the Texans

We ar trying but we're depressed we agree with T.O that Dallas should be 4-0 and were ticked at him for grabbing gossip ridden headlines and dropping passes.

ya see, your getting emotional over the media hype.

Learn from your friends here. Bledsoe had a bad game, so di the coaches and the whole team.

Crap, I remember yelling at the TV when Roger and Troy was throwing interceptions. One game, does not make a team. Overcoming that adversity,,,, does.

Bledsoe is a huge liability and deserves some blame, but the blame is big enough to spread. The OL has been awful, and TO has been a drop machine.

in my opinion, we shouldnt have been passing that much in the first place, our run was effective, then all of a sudden we went pass happy and the eagles just t'd off on us. the real killer though was that fumbled punt, we would have won w/o it.

Ok, i put blame on Bledsoe so i guess you are talking about me. One example of why i blame Bledsoe is the first INT he gave up in the game. It was a stunt and Kosier didnt see the guy stunt and was late. This rusher is coming at Bledsoe at full speed...Bledsoe was looking in that direction and yet tried to make the throw getting his arm hit resulting in an INT. Now he saw this guy coming yet didn’t just take the sack. That’s the QBs fault. I could understand if it was from the blind side as in the first fumble. That was all Adams. Now if Bledsoe had any kindof pocket presense, he would have side stepped the pressure, he could have done this being that the rusher was coming at him full speed. It was a stunt so the left side of the pocket was completely protected, look at the play again. Bledsoe later had his arm hit again, this time Rivera was getting bullrushed. Yet Bledsoe looking in that direction chose to try to make the throw getting his arm hit and resulted in an incomplete pass but only because the philly defender dropped the easiest INT of his career. My point in all this is to say, Bledsoe saw the pressure at times yet made a mistake of doing too much and resulting in mistakes. Something Parcells has accused of Bledsoe of doing at times. He needs to protect the ball better, that is on him.

In order i would say our problems in the eagles game only were......

Pass protection
Pass rush
Play calling (both sides of the ball)
Turnovers (bledsoe, and mcbriar)
bad plays by Bledsoe (underthrows to glenn and TO) and the pick at the end

The reason he got sacked seven times is cause the corpse cannot avoid a pass rush of any kind up the middle and tends to hold on to the ball instead of getting rid of it.
He is NEVER going to beat a quality defense with a strong pass rush, so let's just get it over with and start Romo.....it can't be much worse.

Thats a bunch or crap. There are going to be times during the season; especially on the road that a QB needs to make something happen. Bledsoe is incapable of tunring nothing into something. Look at Mcnabbs 85 yarder. He simply stepped up and made an a LB who had a free shot at him miss which resulted in a TD. Bledsoe would have been sacked and our punter would be marching onto the field. He absolutely stinks and you know it. The QB getts the glory and the shame. THATS THE WAY IT IS.

Not on this board. When we beat Houston this afternoon Bledsoe will get no credit. His record here is 11-9 before today but somehow he is responsible for all of the 9 losses and none of the 11 wins.

Too many Henson lovers, Romo lovers and Bledsoe haters for him to ever get credit. That's the predominating nature of this board and it will not change,
period.

If Bledsoe dominates, the reasonable haters will just be quiet for awhile, the lunatic haters will ask why; he got that one sack, missed a wide open TO,
still pats the ball and on and on...

If he gets a big lead and we stop passing in the 2nd half (like Titans game) they'll say.."he only got x yards and TDs" or "Where's Romo?."

He could run for 3 first downs and a touchdown and you won't hear a peep about it. Oh wait, that was last week.

I agree and I don't agree with your post.

First off. Some fans honesty feel they have seen enough of the rookie mistakes that Drew has contributed to our overall demise. He is not the sole reason that we lost the last game but he contributed on a number plays.

Teams tend to look at the QB position as the one place that you expect execution and near perfection at the most critical times in the game. The problem with Drew is that he tends to shrink at the biggest points of the game and also is capable like looking like a rookie during the whole process. Confidence in the pocket goes a long way to instill confidence in your offensive unit as well as your whole team when you are a QB. When the team is down and you do something (like Drew's TD run) that really says a lot to your team and about you as a leader of the team.

Saying that, just because Drew had a couple of good plays doesn't excuse him for all of the rookie gaffs that he made as well. This is what makes anything positive thing he did during the game disappear in the fans eyes and I wouldn't doubt some of the players eyes as well. For once, he needs to be the guy that made it happen despite the horrible conditions around him. He needs to make the plays that we absolutely have to make or at least not be part of the reason that it did not work. If that fans could see Drew lift the team every now and then and not see the rookie mistakes at all (14 years in the league already) he would be given a lot more slack on his leash, at least by the fans and we would give him more benefits of any doubt we may have about him as a player.

Until then, he is a 14 year rookie, with physical limitations that causes his entire offensive unit to have to cover for those limitations. He uses his arm way more than he uses his head and that is a major problem as it tends to get him in a lot more trouble than he needs right now.

Despite this rant, I am still rolling with Drew for this game. I am not holding out hope that he somehow gets it clicking although it is not impossible. I just want a victory today and if by some odd chance we are denied a victory today, I would like to see that our QB left nothing on the field and gave it his all both mentally and physically.

Go Cowboys and Go Drew..................please.

I'm not a Bledsoe fan but I haven't joined in on much of the bashing going on. We've all had a tough week on this board after a loss that could've been a win. I want to add a couple of points that haven't been mentioned in this thread.

Our defense did not execute well last week. McNabb made big plays that everyone knew going in that they were going to try. The Eagle's offense has been big play oriented all season and we failed to stop them consistently. Our offensive line was always going to need time to gel and our defense has not made enough big plays to pick up the slack.

Our coaching staff is not stupid but there are times when I completely fail to understand the play calling adjustments that are made. The entire universe knows that rushing Bledsoe up the middle is how you beat him. I would think a major portion of our offensive playbook would be geared to handling pressure up the middle. In Sunday's game we seemed to stick to a scheme that aided the Eagle rush for most of the game. I understand the execution argument, but it seems to me that plays can be called that help your players get into a more favorable position to execute.

The unfortunate thing about this week's game is that there is little upside to it. We are expected to win handily so a loss is a disaster and a win proves not much. I want to feel better about our team so I'll be watching for better execution this week.

The people you are speaking to are savy Cowboy fans and you will be singing a different tune when we play the Giants next week and the Panthers after that.

The thing you have to realize is the mistakes are consistent with Bledsoe when he plays a good defense. Has McBriar ever flubbed the snap? No. Has the defense given up two long bombs THIS year? No. Has Bledsoe chocked in a big game? YES in JAX.

I could dismiss the earlier mistakes by Bledsoe but when you have a chance to tie the game with seconds left and you throw it right to the Eagles defender clear as day with 2 more downs I mean how stupid is that????

I want to see Romo because I know what Bledsoe brings to the table and I don't want that meal anymore.
