Its obvious that for whatever reason Tony and Roy are not on the same page. This has caused Tony to lose confidence in Roy and Roy to lose confidence in himself. All im saying is Roy realizes this and HAS chosen to take the high road and not complain and whine. And that shows he is a true team player.

Im not saying he plays every snap. But the snaps that he is playing are hurting the team. One is because they are not on the same page and Tony is not even looking his way. Two is because the other teams know this and hes not a threat. Why would you want to to waste one of your spots on the field?

Its obvious the Cowboys will keep him on the roster because he making too much money. But he needs to realize he cant get mad because he had his shot. Right now the team should be playing their best 11 players on offense that give them the best chance to win. Right now that does not include Roy Williams.

Rather the moan and complain i believe he WILL take the high road and suck it up. And that what a true team player does. Unlike T.O. who would be disrupting the locker room at this very moment.

I think you Roy sheeple continue to miss the point. Romo knows this offense really well by now. If Romo and RW aren't on the same page with reads, it is probably RW who is at fault.

Even outside of that, RW just isn't getting open most of the time. He cannot beat press coverage. He can't make catches in crowds due to alligator arms. He is dropping easy catches. The rumour growing steadily in the background is that he is lazy and has a poor work ethic. A habit he picked up at UT playing physically inferior competition and allowed to continue in Detroit under weak coaches.

At this point, we might as well offer RW the chance to resurrect his career. But it isn't a matter of getting on the same page with Romo. He will need to work extra hard on his hands and route running - he just isn't good.

What I'm confused about...how in the world did he play BETTER in DETROIT?!?!?!!? Seriously, think about that. You'd have thought he'd play the same or better here...but not MUCH worse.

Being an ex receiver myself, I would freaking move in with Romo if I were Williams, family or not. I was always around my QB, making sure we were on the same page all the time, there's really no excuse why he can't perform with Romo.

But I certainly don't hate the guy.

it's not "hating on him" to say that he needs to:

1) run the right routes
2) catch the damn ball
3) don't blame the qb or the coach for failure to do 1) or 2)

yes, he blocks downfield. yes, he makes some good catches sometimes. and no, he's not nearly the bad guy that owens was.

roy's mistakes are magnified because he cost the team two high draft picks and a whole lot of money that could have gone to a more productive player.

however, i can't believe how much roy talks about "always being THE GUY," going back to pop warner and high school and college. SO WHAT?! to be "THE GUY" in the nfl, you have to come through when it counts! why is that so hard for him to accept? at this level, if you don't make plays when it counts, you're no longer "THE GUY", you're just "A GUY".

right now, roy is just a guy.

... in other words:

dear roy williams:

you had a nice run in college.

that was a long time ago.

the nfl, on the other hand, is not impressed with you.

now either get better, or go back to campus and see if anyone cares to lavish money and praise on you for things you did many, many recruiting classes ago.

They were a bad team with not many weapons that threw the ball a ton. A lot of those throws to Roy were throws where the ball was thrown up for him to snatch away from the CB. Romo doesn't seem to be comfortable doing that and he's got other options he can go to instead.
